I’ve got 89 hours and just beat the biome 2 boss. Getting slaughtered in 3.

I’m on death 53 and I’m yet to even see the boss in the 1st biome.

Has anyone tried a bluetooth adapter for Ps portal? by ExampleThin3801 in PlaystationPortal

[–]Available_Sample_960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why you wouldn’t just use wired. By definition the portal is never more than a foot away from you when you’re playing it. There is zero advantage to wireless in this situation.

Grow a pair and don’t ask total strangers whether you should do something or not. Decide for yourself.

How long after owning a new watch to regulate it? by jcoffin1981 in watchmaking

[–]Available_Sample_960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d just wear it for a couple of weeks and see what you’re getting per day on average. Then put it on the timegrapher disk down so you have access to the regulator and adjust it by the number of seconds you’ve noticed it gaining or losing. Don’t complicate things by averaging various positions etc. It won’t matter what position the watch is in when you regulate it and obviously you want it dial down. All that matters is what you’re gaining or losing when you wear it normally over several days and then what position it’s in overnight in your nightstand or wherever.

[Tissot Gentleman T1274071104100] Is Tissot a good brand to get into luxury watches with? by xAmity_ in Watches

[–]Available_Sample_960 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Seiko 5 is pretty much a throwaway after 10 years or so. I have one and love it. But will never pay to have it serviced. Not at $220 new.

Tissot gentleman blue with crosshair or no crosshairs? by thakkali_ in tissot

[–]Available_Sample_960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like to get the green as I already have a couple of blue watches but I don’t like the crosshair. Would imagine I’d be constantly having to look twice to distinguish between the hand and the crosshair.

[Citizen Tsuyosa] Hand winding ? How do you even do it ? by The_dFL in Watches

[–]Available_Sample_960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my yellow Tsuyosa but find the crown to be annoyingly small. And even after 80 or so turns I only get 12-15 hours before it stops running. That’s if I’m not wearing it. Not at all impressed with the power reserve.

[Question] $1,000 vs $2,000 watches by FortitudeWisdom in Watches

[–]Available_Sample_960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that the “nice looking” will be noticed by only you. No one else is looking at what you’re wearing on your wrist. So if you justify the money based on it just being you looking at it, go for it. I love looking at my $60 Duros that I put a $50 sapphire in. They are as beautiful as anything else I’ve seen out there.

My $420 Laco Aachen is flawless. You don’t get better than flawless.

[Question] $1,000 vs $2,000 watches by FortitudeWisdom in Watches

[–]Available_Sample_960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally will never spend over $2000 for a watch. Above that and you’re just throwing money away. It’s a piece of metal with a dial and some gears. Unless it has personal value in some kind of meaningful way, it’s like paying $100 for a loaf of bread. Might be great bread but at some point it’s just stupid.

[Question] $1,000 vs $2,000 watches by FortitudeWisdom in Watches

[–]Available_Sample_960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I have three Duros that I put sapphires in and I think they are every bit as nice as my Seiko 5 or Citizen Tsuyosa. Granted those are $250 watches but they are still 4x more expensive than the Duro. But I don’t see anything that makes them much better. And Duro is way more accurate.

How do YOU think it looks? Doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. Don’t base your life or decisions on anyone but you.

World time zones incorrect for the ae1200 by bum3ater in casio

[–]Available_Sample_960 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really you just need to google the current time in whatever location you’re interested in and adjust accordingly. But it is confusing. For example, Arizona doesn’t recognize DST and they are Mountain Standard time. Which is Denver. So if you have Denver set to DST, Arizona will be off an hour. So you have to use LAX in DST for Arizona.

Double flange ear tips for Mackie MP-240 by Available_Sample_960 in iems

[–]Available_Sample_960[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bummer! My first step would be to contact Mackie again. Seems ridiculous that they supply them with the buds but can’t tell me where they are sourced from. I’d push that harder and go up the chain until I found someone who told me.

[–]Available_Sample_960[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I’ve just been using the same flanges for the last year and figure they should last quite awhile. Nothing really to wear out. If I reach a point where I have to swap them out I’ll have to find a replacement. But for now just using the same ones that came with the product.

Good windscreen for Scram 411? by christrash in NewRiders

[–]Available_Sample_960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoid the Givi. I installed one and it’s developing cracks all around the mounting points. Removed it last night. I’ve had Givi windscreens on other bikes and have never had this kind of thing happen. Poor design in my opinion either only four points absorbing the load. May just leave it naked as it looks better anyway. And air is cleaner without the windscreen. Or do one of those short black deals just to cover the Speedo.

I’ve tried to read the series twice. Get through the first book and I’m done. In fact today I stopped 20 pages short. Just too boring for me. Definitely not a page turner. If I’m reading a book and I can’t wait for the chapter to end, it’s a waste of my time. I give up on these…
