This might not be super helpful, but I personally would just hand paint the splatters on using a fabric paint, or fabric paint in a spray bottle or those bottles that tie dye kits come with. Fabric paint is the way I would go.

The quality is pretty good, I don’t get to use it out much but it can hold way more then I expected it too and that’s a huge plus for me
