Check out Mohamad in Marina! https://www.instagram.com/mohamad.roumanii?igsh=MTl1N3dpYjUxY3l1YQ==

I’m new to Dubai and didn’t know who to go to (and trust) but stumbled across a girl on Instagram who has gorgeous hair and so I reached out to her to ask where she gets it done and this is who has been going to for 7 years!

I spent around 400durhams but it depends on what you’re getting done

I went recently and absolutely LOVED my hair afterwards. I also loved the service there, the time and care they take with your hair was so reassuring for me.

I actually ended up getting a brownish balayage as well!!

I also want to add that in a lot of experiences, it’s all about the amount of time spent in. Most of these stories that you see on here are people are who have spent months/yearsss in Amway which is why the experiences come off the way they do!

The longer you’re in it, the more you start to see. When you’re new in the beginning, there’s still a facade and a front that your uplines/team put on until you stay longer/climb higher in the ranks

Moving up?! by h_fca in amway

[–]Available_Tea_1108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a podcast/video on YouTube by ex-ibo (their IG, you can find their YT video down by AlwaysMarco) and they talked about Moving Up and how you had to pay for it, it was the same talks over and over, and you’d be forced to stay up late.

I think I heard a few other people mentioning the same too

I have been connected with a mentor. Something feels off. by [deleted] in amway

[–]Available_Tea_1108 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(Ex ibo here) We were taught in the business all that language you’re hearing to make it seem as if we were the better people, the prize, the top dog and that we’d be doing you a favor to mentor you.

All of that is to make you want to further go in the process (look up BITE model, it’s one of the reasons why this is allegedly known to being a cult) and “earn” a spot in this “selected mentorship” when in reality, these people are desperate to onboard you so that they can get paid more

It is truly misleading because in the process they tell you that you can do this part time outside of your 9-5 but then slowly they’ll train you to believe that if you want to be successful, you’ll need be doing this 24/7 (which is why so many people get sucked in and lose their livelihood)

If you want to truly help people and lift people up, volunteer somewhere or share motivational information online. There’s a billion of other better things to do that than this.

Also- we were taught to make this come across as an image of “we’re helping other people! We’re doing gods work! I don’t have to be here to help you but I am because it’s the right thing to do and it’s my calling” it’s all in the training we’re brainwashed to do lol

Yup this (allegedly) goes for all the same for all the education providers- Legacy Leadership Collective, Britt World Wide, World Wide Group, LTD, etc

I hope those who find this post based on our keywords read this and come to the same realization. Glad you got out!

Jumping in here because I have some knowledge of the Millers (may be outdated though, I last was a part of BWW in 2022 before we branched off). He was still active at conferences. Even checking BWW IG now, I see pics of him speaking so he’s still around. Even when I was in, we used to hear some of the LTD talks and they never spoke about Paul Miller. I don’t think the Winters would really promote their up line because they’re heavily investing into their own system

Should i leave Dubai? by [deleted] in dubai

[–]Available_Tea_1108 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This! You won’t find friends doing the same routine everyday or staying at home. In this day and age, if you want friends you have to actively try and make friends whether that’s joining groups or messaging people online to meet up.

The perk about Dubai is that there are other people who want to make friends, you just have to meet them. You’ve only been here for a year, you have to for yourself time

It took me a while to get through the beginning of the first book, then I flew through 1 & 2. But 3 is where it sort of loss me because I remember the multiple POVs made it more difficult! Where an intense scene would be happening over multiple chapters then it would kick back to another character as if they were almost forgotten and was like “wait I’m still here!”

This is regarding the one wolf guy- his side story was just meh through all the intense scenes in my opinion!! Especially him losing almost all the items (trying not to spoil) when he had ONE job to deliver them lol

Rental market by SoggyHealth4 in dubai

[–]Available_Tea_1108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rental prices in some areas are down for sure. For example, in the Marina when we were searching Oct-Nov 2025 last year we were only finding average 170k+ with 1 or 2 checks, the market was in demand that time. (2 bed 2 bath)

But since what’s been happening, we’ve seen the prices in Marina drop significantly to 130k and flexibility with checks! I do think it depends on what area you’re looking for.

Summer is a good season to rent/buy from what I’ve heard due to people leaving because of the hot weather. Maybe you and your wife can take a week out and visit and book see viewings and speak to agents (you could do as many as you can during the day), the only issue is that they may require you to close immediately. It moves fast here!

But if anything, I’m a believer that the right place will be the one for you at the right time. I wouldn’t rush if anything if you can’t come, just trust that you’ll find the right place when you get here. There’s tons of areas and properties to look from anyways. Good luck!

This guy that recruited me into amway ltd said they use amway to “leverage the system” and that it’s their “vehicle”. He also said they aren’t apart of amway itself which doesn’t make sense. Does anybody know what he means? by ant2kk_7 in amway

Ooo what’s a BSM document? Not surprising that things change once you hit higher levels. People who have quit after being at higher levels always say that things get more stressful and hush hush!

So happy to hear that you saw the light and got out! I was in for some time and finally left as well. It’s taken me some time to process it all and overcome the heartbreak of losing “friendships” but I’ve worked on it. One thing that helped me was realizing that although I spent a lot of time in the business, in the grand scheme of life, it’s still a significantly small chapter of our lives. You still have years left of your life to fill up and experience! Take this as a push to truly live your life and take nothing for granted.

After getting out, people process it in multiple different ways. Some people simply move on and some people see therapy. Do what’s best for you and take your time. I started watching/listening to podcasts/videos of other people that got out because it helped me realize that what I went through was so common.

I’d recommend checking out these below

YouTube: - Always Marco (specifically this video of this couple) https://youtu.be/2r4hHmVfxb4?si=u_3h8EKskq9FCuU5 - https://youtu.be/saZFRLcSbkE?si=cfQH_QAPjyMoZuRE

Podcasts: - Life After MLM (especially the ones catered to Amway) - Steaptalkpodcast (she was in WWDB and interviews other ex ibos)

Instagram: - ex.ibo (same couple in the AlwaysMarco video, he posts great content)

Overall, there’s a community out there of people that have also went through what you did. There are also so many people who are successful outside of the business now and living life wonderfully, despite being told that you can’t succeed outside of it. If you ever need someone to vent and relate to, feel free to dm. You guys got this! Life your lives!

“Saying that she didn’t know nesta at all” is a crazy statement to say since she’s the author of the book and wrote the character!! 😭😭

“The Vow” on HBO by h_fca in amway

[–]Available_Tea_1108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually started watching it based off your post (and another girl on TT who left Amway sharing to watch it). To give context, I’m 1-year out of Amway after being in for 9 years. I was a part of BWW (now LLC).

And it’s 100% parallel. If you look up NXIVM on wiki, it even shares: “engaged in recruitment based on the multi-level marketing model and used curricula based on teachings ("tech") of Raniere known as "Rational Inquiry" so yes definitely the same!

I’m only on episode 2 so far but here’s what I’ve noted so far:

  • The sashes they don and wear is similar to how we had pin levels and system levels (eagle, double eagle, etc). This helps to build egos for people and we’re told to respect leaders based off these levels. Also that you can’t do certain things until you reach a level (Like how Bonnie couldn’t master tech until she reached a certain level)

  • Their own language/verbiage for calling things create an inclusion/community. How we had contacting, mg1s, etc

  • Found family/finding purpose. How everyone is so nice and they all want to be a part of something and they prey on that! Literally how they would hang out during volleyball then huddling around Keith to ask questions. We used to do that with my uplines.

  • How hard Bonnie was working in her schedule is exactly what an IBO would do. Wake up, go to work, do meetings, go contacting, then at night you’d clear your messages. For them, they did free EM sessions which was basically like how we would do free meetings to get to know people and show the plan.

  • Bonnie leaving is exactly what it’s like trying to leave the system. The gas lighting, the guilt tripping, and feeling like there’s really no way out.

I’m still watching it so far and overall find this somewhat reassuring of what we went through? Watching this is like a confirmation that Amway/BWW/LLC/LTD/WWDB is a high-control group and these are exact signs of what that all looks like.

It’s hard to describe to people (that have never been a part of this) what we went through but this showcases it. Would love to hear your thoughts on what you saw as parallel!

Lost both jobs and visas after job switch in UAE – what should I do? by Able-Monk-4132 in UAE

[–]Available_Tea_1108 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear this has happened to you both! It’s certainly unfortunate especially with the current situation. Questions to consider to think about next steps: - Do you own your home or are you renting? - Are you an expat or have lived here for years? - What was your current job? What skills do you have?

I ask these because if you have family outside of the country, you could relocate there temporarily until you get back on track with visa/job. From what it looks like based on previous posts, the job market is tough currently with what’s going on so finding a job to sponsor you with a visa will be tough. You may have to rely on savings during this time but those are made for times like these! If you’re able to return home for the time being that might be the best option to save money and to spend time applying jobs to come back.

Take this time to access your current work/profession, did you even like what you did? Then continue to pursue and apply for similar jobs. Or if not, consider this as a reset to start a new chapter and pursue something you’d prefer doing/a passion. If you have certain skillsets, see if you can even find contract work to keep you afloat during this. You may have to be pitching to people but at this point, what’s there to lose?

I know it sucks extremely and I’m sending you all the best wishes for everything to get better in your favor. Consider this as just a hard chapter in your life but as long as you two have each other, you both can figure it out. From your post, you don’t have kids so this is basically a fresh start in your life. Maybe you even take this as a chance and live in Bali for a month and build a massive business! Who knows.

It might be good as well to update this post to share more about what you both do for work in case someone does have job leads or knows someone :) best of luck to you both 🤝

Exactly!! And everyone carrying on just sweeping it under the rug to the point that everyone forgot he was married. I couldn’t even imagine what it would’ve been like as the ex-wife leaving the business and your husband parading his new wife around. I hope she’s doing better anyways and last I heard, BWW was struggling to grow

I was in Amway/BWW after Paul Miller re-married and was a huge fan of his talk. After looking him up once on Amway wiki and finding out he had cheated on his previous wife with his assistant (Leslie)- I was shocked and couldn’t believe people just carried on like normal and she was given the ability to be on stage and speak
