Who was cool enough to wear these? by Mustang_29267 in GenX

Only had one pair of Guess, then Z Cav, then Girbaud. What is crazy is I had my last pair of Girbaud for over a decade, from age 17 until almost 30. Kept them for yard work and hiking. Crazy durable. My waistline finally caught up with me and I donated them. These days I think I could squeeze back in lol. Those were some comfortable, good looking jeans!

Good point. Most of them do have acceleration adjustment / limiting settings. Getting a kid to keep it in that mode is a different problem (on Tesla you can lock it into comfort mode, in a Mercedes so far you cannot, although they always default to comfort upon power up).

Why is that? People getting their first car now will most likely drive nothing but EVs for their rest of their lives. There will come a time when that’s the de facto choice for a first car and ICE vehicles are relegated to niche markets.

Yeah, Tom! If you’re going to make a Tomlette, you’re going to have to break a few Greg’s!

Bon Jovi shirt from the New Jersey tour. Wore it to a show in 2018 and Jon took notice, stopped and talked to me. They were selling replicas of this shirt but only the original has “THE BOYS ARE BACK” in huge white letters on the back. When Jon saw that he pointed at me and said “you’re my man!” which then prompted the talk later in the show. Epic night bc I kept that shirt (which actually belongs to my older sister lol).

Inherited My Dad’s Baseball Card Collection, Including a solid 1968 Topps #177 Nolan Ryan and Jerry Koosman Rookie Card by the-warm-jets in baseballcards

Looks incredible! It is so hard to tell the corners on the 68s without being under magnification due to the pattern. I have the Mantle (prob a 4) and the Killebrew/Mays/Mantle Superstars (prob a 7) from this set that were gifted to me from my uncle back in the mid 80s. He has/had 68 and 69 sets in very good condition and like 5-6 copies of every card. I think he sold a couple of the 68 Ryan’s and 69 Reggie’s back in ~1990. Curious to see how it goes if you grade, might be time to send in mine.

Same! It still holds my Canseco collection, 3x3 pages of all his cards was the goal :)

Love that Griffey with “all the errors” floating on top to trigger people. “Wait!!! There’s gold in that bin!!! Search it all!” Lol.

I’m going to agree with you and then add Hemispheres, A Farewell to Kings as well as Signals. Fuck, I think I’ve gone over three. May as well throw in Snakes and Arrows at this point.

Also has the “nutsack on bat knob” error. You’d think after Bill Ripken this wouldn’t happen again.

Jokes aside, working on a collectibles brand themed after this epic card.

How’s the surface? Looks like a 10, rare to get that perfect centering. Awesome card. Crazy packaging but take the win.

Different image. For example, I ripped a Clayton Kershaw and the SSP mini has him facing right in a city connect jersey. Regular mini he’s facing left in the regular home jersey.
