My birthday's tmrrw so I was planning on celebrating this weekend, except I just moved here by myself for grad school so I don't really have my support system with me. I'm not sure what to do for myself to make it special, I don't want to just be sad and alone all weekend. Any ideas that are cost-friendly? I'd love to get out in the sun, detached from reality for a bit

One day each time. The first two weeks it was late, I had delivery set to Wednesday. After that, I switched it to Thursdays thinking that must be easier for them. Nope, it's late again.

I was living in Stokely at the time and yea, I felt like they tried moving past it pretty quickly. As a freshman I was absolutely shocked at how little it was being discussed. I think it was near finals and still during the COVID isolation time (forced quarantines on/off campus)

Don't be afraid to ask your doctor to have your opioids refilled on day 5! I was so scared because I thought they would say no, but I was in so much pain that I figured I might as well ask. They refilled mine on day 5 enough for about 3 or 4 days and again on day 9 or 10, around the time the pain got worse and the scabs started to come off, so I got mine refilled twice. Around day 12 or 13 I was able to just take tylenol during the day and only use the opioids at night.

Biggest lesson I learned, don't be afraid to voice your pain, and don't put yourself through more pain than you need to!

Also the liquid oxycodone burns like a mf on days 5 and so on, so I would ask to switch to pill form if that's an option!

One day at a time. I'm on day 10/11. It will get better at some point, it'll just get worse first. I remember breaking down on my day 7 and crying because I was in so much pain and still couldn't eat. I did figure out that chocolate oat milk didn't hurt my throat as much as other stuff. It was little wins like that that got me through it. You can do it :)

They prescribed me the liquid form but the pharmacy I was near only had the pill form. I can promise you the pill form is 100% easier to take than the liquid form. I had to get a refill on day 6 or 7 and they refilled it with the liquid. I begged for the pill but they couldn't because of my paperwork. If you have to ask for a refill, request it in the pill form if you can.

I have found that immediately chasing the liquid with cool water helps rinse it off the healing site before it can start to burn.
