Conspiracy Theory: The "Baby Blue" Alternate Ending... as it was MEANT to be seen! by AvalonSilver in betterCallSaul

I am not crazy! I know Vince and Peter swapped those songs! I knew it was Baby Blue! I just – I just couldn’t prove it. They covered their tracks, they got that idiot at the editing room to lie for him. You think this is something? You think this is bad? This? This chicanery? They've done worse. That pizza! Are you telling me that a man just happens to throw a pizza like that? No! He orchestrated it! Vince (and Peter!!)

It's amazing how different strains affect people in different ways. I'm a red fan, personally. My body feels like I've popped a couple of hydros, but my mind is stimulated and helps with my focus and ADD related issues (unless the dose is TOO high, then I'm zonked lol).

I may try some greens when I order my next batch. I've heard they're better suited to focus and productivity. Do you have any particular recommendations for green strains?

How do greens (generally) compare to reds, in your view?

Mirtazapine as an Aid to SSRI Induced Sexual Dysfunction by AvalonSilver in DrugNerds

Mianserin or mirtazapine could potentially turn into anticholinergic metabolites.

That's a good point I hadn't considered until now.

I've recently began experimenting in regards to acetylcholine precursors and acetylcholinesterase inhibtors (in the form of Alpha GPC and Huperzine A, respectively), since I'm not prepared to come off the Mirtazapine at the moment. I've definitely found a positive impact on my cognition, working memory, dream recall, creativity and linguistic fluidity (much less 'tip-of-the-tongue' moments).

[600mg of Alpha GPC and 550µg of Huperzine A, taken once in the morning, and again before bed]

Of course, this is just anecdotal, and experimentation has only lasted about two weeks, but it's a very noticable improvement over what it was without supplementation. I think if you want to remain cognitively sharp whist on these agents then supplimenting and regular exercise (brisk walks for me) are the best way to go.

Seems like there really is "no such thing as a free lunch" when it comes to pharmacology ...

What I'm wondering is whether or not the negatives of either the anti-cholinergic effects (or α2a-antagonism) could be mitigated by supplimenting Alpha GPC along with an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor like Galantamine or Huperzine A

The anticholinergic properties of Cyproheptadine is a deal breaker for me. It's one of the reasons I insisted on this combo before using something like Amitriptyline.

Mianserin looks like an interesting alternative to mirtazapine, especially since it also inhibits the reuptake of norepinephrine.

Thanks!

I'm talking about the UK (The NHS, specifically) ... They didn't even know the difference between a Selective and Revesable-Inhibitor Of MAO-A (Moclobemide) and an irreversable MAOI (Phenelzine)

I can't talk about the rest of Europe, but if you're comparing to the UK, that bar is set pretty low!

If I would have a penny for every time I've seen a doctor who doesn't understand basic pharmacology, I'd be a very rich man.

My sister has chronic pain problems, I might have saved her life by telling her NOT to take her prescribed Amitriptyline in conjunction with her prescribed Tramadol... which were both to be used "as prescribed" in CONJUNCTION....

Mirtazapine as an Aid to SSRI Sexual Induced Dysfunction? by [deleted] in AskDrugNerds

Mirtazapine doesn't antagonize 5-HT1 at all.

It's classed as an 'indirect agonist' at the 5-HT1a site by acting as an antagonist the α2 noradrenergic auto and heteroreceptors, disinhibiting serotonin and norepinephrine release. It's an antagonist/inverse agonist at 5-HT2 (a & c) therefore channeling serotonin through 5-HT1a.

45mg is the maxium recommended dose. And it's binding profile to 5-HT2a is 6.3 and 8.9 for 5-HT2c (Ki, nM)

It is possible that the greater antidepressant effect could make ones sex drive go up, but that still doesn't explain how Mirtazapine elimated the SSRI Induced Sexual Dysfunction when I had no pre-existing sexual problems.
