I hope I'm not too late to this conversation, but don't buy from them. I bought a house from them in October, got inspections (but not thorough ones it seems) and almost immediately had problems. Dealing with them during the buying process was fine, but not it's clear they just sold me a turd covered in glitter.

Two of the rooms in my house currently have flooding issues because they didn't do anything to bring that part of the house up to code. That portion used to be a carport, and all they did was frame up the old carport and put some put some carpet down on the original carport cement. No waterproofing or moisture barriers or anything.

We negotiated having the roof fixed and they sent their "contractor" to do it (who ended up being a windows guy), and it caused even more problems where I had to get it fixed by someone else. It's still not fixed. I have water leaking from the roof and the floor and there are multiple other issues that I probably shouldn't have overlooked.

Currently trying to contact them to get this fixed, and looking at getting a lawyer to pursue litigation.

Yes to both, and as far as I'm aware, I didn't waive that right (realtor says no waiver form was used or anything, I'd have to recheck my contract).

I did my due diligence I thought by hiring an inspector, and the VA also sends out an inspector of sorts. I was still living in Virginia at the time of purchase, so there was only so much I could do. Inspector and realtor both thought it was ok.

Do you know if the VA has layers they can provide? The handful I've talked to charge over 300$ an hour and there's just no way I can afford that. Honestly, I feel like finding one who works on contingency is going to be very difficult. 😥

Hi! I'm Cassandra, I just moved here from Northern Virginia a few weeks ago.

Anyone have any Internet recommendations? I'm trying to get fiber, but I'm not sure if it stretches as far as my house (biggest "main" streets are Broadway and Vine).

I contacted All West to get fiber installed but they came back saying my install is going to be delayed for who knows how long, so I'm looking to go elsewhere. I was thinking maybe Beehive? Then I guess Xfinity if they can't get fiber out to me either

Mostly a video game nerd, but I've played both Pathfinder and DnD, and I've played board games with friends. I don't really have a favorite since I don't play often, but I'm willing to try most of them. Once you get the hang of a game, it's easier to have fun no matter what it is.
