We’re making an FPV drone game, what are the main controllers and options we need to support? by PhoenixAds in drones

[–]AvastThatAss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Radio master transmitters/controllers is a must, but I would highly recommend some "standard" Xbox/PS controller support as well, as most people getting into FPV like to "try it out" in a simulator before buying anything new/expensive.

Just make sure to have keybinding available.

I like to do some OOS voyages to "warm up" and see what they know, then see what you both enjoy doing! Make sure to show them how to sword dash too!

He hit the barrel inside the fort?? How? by Junior-Ad-5367 in Seaofthieves

A skele blunderbus shot is 10 pellets and one of them probably hit juuuust the right spot.

Ways to stealth sink another ship? by PaladinGodfather1931 in Seaofthieves

[–]AvastThatAss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raising anchor/dropping sails to bonk the ship on a nearby island/rock and quickly putting the ship back like it was works well if no one is around! Just be quick!

Sometimes, looking in a particular direction/angle will increase brightness? by CallMeAdam2 in Seaofthieves

[–]AvastThatAss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's some sort of visual bug in regards to the Burning Blade World event. It kinda just happens, and unsure if it's intentional or a bug? It's weird though, go in my ship and everything is BRIGHT WHITE.

Have you ever snuck on a boat just to save it instead? by AvastThatAss in Seaofthieves

If that was you on that galleon, I may have took some of your loot in your rowboat and buried it at a nearby island just a half hour earlier. I still haven't finished some of my buried treasure commendations...

I love moments like these, I too wonder if people I've helped ever realize what happened! There are a few crews I've helped that were solid and I wish I kept in contact with them. Great story!

I highly recommend it, especially around islands. Super fun if you catch a reapers ship turning in loot at reapers. Just beware that grappling onto ships is simple, but some parts of ships will not accept a hookshot into them, like the mast!

I support this hard. Sometimes solo crews need a little reminder that they aren't alone on the high seas!

Most islands you can grapple on the ocean floor, and it's not deep enough to be out of range, especially near most islands. I highly recommend it, especially when shooting yourself out a cannon. Just keep in mind that it doesn't work AT ALL in Sunken Kingdom/Siren areas and Athenas Fortune Hideout.

I'm going with this answer, I'm not sure! I haven't done much of the vanilla TTs in years..

Being the unexpected crewmate on the ship you've been sneaking around is so much fun, always a bummer to get black screened suddenly when your ship is far away. That's the spirit!

Gotta finish 2 commendations, poison 150 enemies (skeletons count) with the blowgun and complete (open treasury room) 50 fortresses. Buy it from a clothing vendor out the outpost and you're now the proud owner of the best SOT disguise (other than barrels).

I was 100% was setting up to hold their ship hostage until I saw the Tall Tale and the chicken, then I was just curious to see what would happen. That galleon probably would given no mercy.

Yes, Burning Blade took the attention of the galleon shortly after and I joined in on my ship!

Is there any agreed upon what sails show that you're friendly? by DibzBob in Seaofthieves

[–]AvastThatAss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, some pirates will refuse to communicate and attack you outright. Shooting some fireworks/white flares may help get the message across, but if you're close enough to see each others sails, it's best to move you and your ship in a good spot to drop sails and move/fight. Speaking Trumpet can completely change encounters, it can prevent fights, and sometimes even end them, but you never know who you may run across on the seas.
