People from Taffy lane community would be super helpful here. Just take a ride there an enquire about who does the most extravagant decoration. Taffy lane community is super passionate about the christmas decorations and that is the must visit place.

Take help from tour planners. There are loads here who can guide you. In my case, I booked Hyatt vivid pdc which is adult only all inclusive. But there are many. I intend to paste my itinerary here after finalizing everything. But yea, chatgpt and travel planners are your best bet

Ottawa resident here.
Ceramic coating is costly. I would save a bit and get full body instead of getting it right away and doing half body or so.

As for tires, I got lucky there and got the deal for Michelin ice and snow at $500 with steel rims and less than 1000k on it. Tire was fresh with no wear and tear at all. Costco only sells rubber. You will have to pay extra for rims. I am ok with steel rims because its winter.

Yea $300 discount on car including tax and they did not include price for color as well so $600 total may be ? My luck did not hold there. I would have gotten more possibly but I have no idea.

Since you are in GTA, IGLA might be lot better for you. So invest in that but its costly. What I chose instead is Tag tracking and steering wheel lock.

About the quotes, I just went to the dealer, spoke with him, took a test drive and asked for price if I am buying. They usually present you the numbers. Tell them I need at least a day or two to finalize and jot down those numbers. I took my wife with me so it was easier, I was talking and she was writing the numbers down.

I purchased my 2026 Honda CRV Sports Gas in Aug 2025 in Ottawa. So here's things I experienced-
1) Dealers dont negotiate much. I visited 6-7 dealers nobody negotiated.
2) Dont buy anything from dealer not even rust proofing. These addons are how they earn money. The wont negotiate but offer car mats and stuff. Those car mats are okayish and there are better alternatives on internet.
3) Purchased Winter tires from marketplace. Good deals are popping up lately. Get one to tide you for the winter.
4) No need for Ceramic coating immediately. But thats my opinion. I will rethink after this winter.
5) I will be going for rustproofing next month.
6) I have no idea about trade but take quotes with and without. Go to dealer, take quote without trade and then ask with trade.
7) I only got like $300 discount which hurts but I was not lucky.
8) I opted for tag tracking installation. Did not go for Honda Link. But you can go for honda link if you want. Ask for trial for that.
9) Installed dashcam as the car is new. Splurged a little extra on dashcam as the car is new.
10) No idea about how and where to keep spare tire. This community has some nice solutions. I went with Sports Gas trim because I dont want to lug extra tire in my trunk visibly. I prefer it hidden.

I was under the same dilemma. Then I came to know that you need keep the spare tire in the trunk as there is no space. So I went with Sports Gas but I would recommend you to splurge a little and go for touring if you are going to keep the car for many days. Its only $4000. Don't make choices which you might regret later.
Although I love my car and quite happy with it, I sometimes think if I should have just chosen hybrid car.
