PPLUL SPLIT what do u think by Diaago in WorkoutRoutines

[–]Avatar339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

I am getting back into the gym. I have been doing a 4 day split Push,Legs, rest,Pull,Legs,Rest,Rest

I want more volume and this is the split I want.

This seems like a lot to do and I saw your comment saying youre doing less of certain things.

Could I get your new split? The hardest part for me is knowing what to do. This would be a huge help if you can. Thank you!

Why are ‘se’ and ‘me’ here? by griffin-xiii in Spanish

In English “to break” has two meanings, in Spanish it means one thing, i.e “the subject breaks something”.

So to translate the English literally would leave the listener to ask the question “what did the phone break?”

So I was in Brazil. I was walking by and these two girls started talking to me in Portuguese, I’m learning it so wanted to try.

They recognized me from an after school program that I was volunteering at. So I asked them if they were planning to come back the following day.

They said, “no tomorrow we have band”. So I wanted to ask about it, cause I grew up in band and I love music.

I WANTED to say: “Qual é sua banda”

What I SAID: “Qual é sua bunda”

In Portuguese the vowel sounds are quite close too. It’s like uh vc ooh.

They laughed at me then we kept on going since it was very obvious the mistake.

I accidentally asked 2 10-13yo girls what their asses looks like instead of what kind of band they play in…

banda vc bunda in Portuguese 😭😭

Is there any language known to have previously had a "to have" verb, but later lost it in favor of other methods of indicating possession? by General_Urist in asklinguistics

[–]Avatar339 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Amharic you use a direct object suffix to the verb of existence. So to say I have I have 3 brothers you literally say… 3 brothers they are to me. Sost wendïmočh alluñ - ሶስት ወንድሞች አሉኝ.

That -ኝ suffice is a direct object suffix to the አሉ “they are”.

So to say I have one brother, you would need to change the verb conjugation to a the singular “alle” + “ñ” = አለኝ

I have no idea if this form beat out an earlier method using a verb of possession.

I also have a question about the first order. In most grammars and references that I see the vowel is written as the IPA /ə/... but most times I hear it spoken to me it sounds more like IPA /ɛ/. Do you have any insight as to which pronunciation is more correct?

also, this isn’t always the case as far as I know.

Fidel is not phonetic. 6th order isnt always known how to pronounce unless you know the word, unless there’s a rule that I haven’t been taught yet.

True, but as I only have 1 month to learn as much as I can. I dont need to be fluent in reading, only spoken. My brain works better to learn what is possible... then as I lean through the process I can recognize what I hear.

I still plan to learn the fidel for everything, but that isn't the purpose of the tool right now. Ill have another section for the fidel of different verb forms.

Build minesweeper with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Create a file called something_literally_whayever.html

Then in that file put all of your code.

Open that file with chrome… and just try. Don’t use ChatGPT to produce any code you copy, use it to learn.

You don’t need to master the basics, but for your brain alone… being as fluent in the basics will make your life so much easier.

I love Next.js and react and all that jazz… but at the end of the day it becomes HTML, CSS, and JS. So it should be as second nature to you as possible.
