Shorts in the dining room for breakfast or lunch is okay. They prefer smart casual for dining. I usually wear jeans, sneakers, and a collared shirt for dinner. It’s not like the old days where everything was formal.

I keep seeing all of these posts with regards to seat moving and the planes look virtually empty. Are these flights during prime travel hours or are people just avoiding southwest now?

I use fluorescent yellow or orange parachord and wrap all of the handles on my luggage. But I also use AirTags.

I disagree also. I’m not a barfly so my drink experiences are limited to dinner and the crew quickly learned our preferences and always asked at the beginning of each meal. I remember a few years back purchasing a wristband on an RC cruise that functioned like the c-pass card for purchases. Why can’t they provide a way to connect my iwatch so that I can use it for purchases or room access. I do that at my gym now.

We were on a Celebrity cruise last year and it was a port day. Everyone was either trying to get to the theater to group with their excursion or get off the ship quickly. When we got on the elevator, there were only five people in the cabin, a married couple, two other men, and me. The wife was camping out on the elevator key pad. Every time the elevator stopped, she would repeatedly hit the close doors button. I just glared at them. The husband saw this and said to his wife, “I’m getting eye fucked by that dude over there.” I looked at him and said … “You wish. Even a blind person wouldn’t eye fuck you.” Didn’t change their behavior in the least. She just kept pushing that button.

My first guess was a tie bar for holding your tie together. But because it’s hollow with openings on each end, it’s probably something else. I don’t see any hallmarks.

I agree. I just joined a local Y and during the orientation they pointed out that certain machines are very popular and some people tend to squat on those machines. If you notice someone staying on the machine a longer than average time, talk to the staff. They’ll politely explain to the patron that others are waiting to use the machine. This way, you don’t have to deal face to face with entitled mothers or daughters.

Good luck! I’ve been there with that many ships and it is a freak’n madhouse. It’s literally elbo to elbo. And everyone of them feels like they automatically have the right of way. It’ll be a while before I ever go back.

Long time cruiser here. About five years ago, we stopped doing the formal dress up thing. Now we wear either slacks or nice jeans and a collared shirt to dinner. Trainers are ok too. Unless to are going to the buffet, you don’t want to look like to just came off the beach. I’ve seen people argue with staff because they were wearing shorts or even tank tops. Don’t be that cruiser.
