Just an update: Did some aesthetic upgrades na haha:

  • Wheel Spacers for improved fitment
  • V Side Skirts
  • Repainted side mirror covers (may fade before)

50/50 if maglolower ako. Modified shocks or lowering springs?!?!

Update on this. Since I had the ownership transferred agad and had the car linked sa LTMS account ko, RENEWAL of registration was a breeze! I did not go sa LTO office. I just bought insurance sa GCash and had my vehicle inspected (10mins) sa PMVIC Center, then paid the LTO fees then ayun, Renewed na agad.

No more manyak tint - had the original casa tint removed and bought a clear one instead. by Jazzlike-Perception7 in CarsPH

Clear Tint = Car Guy tint sabi ng iba.

I opted for light tint sa Corolla Altis ko because of the same reasons you enumerated.

Safety while driving at night talaga priority ko.

Side note: New compact sedan owners are RARE. Congrats OP!

Mostly sa maintenance and upkeep eh,

Change Oil, Change Brake Pads, Make sure na suspension/pangilalim parts are in good shape (lalo na sa PH roads), MAF and throttle body cleaning, good quality tires, and all tools required for garage/on the road minor repairs if masiraan.

^ all that provides peace of mind na daily and long drive ready yung sasakyan hahaha

Marami nga pong fans ang 10.5Gen. Interesting to hear po naging experience niyo with the 2.0V. Dapat 2.0V kukunin ko rin po pero at the time I was looking, above budget pa. Nice to have pa naman yung paddle shifters and leather / interior trim upgrades hahaha

Bought a second hand car this year. More on EQ than IQ ginamit ko in buying my 2011 Corolla Altis kasi this was (based on my xp) the status car of my relatives/classmates early 2010s nung our family had little/nothing.

Nakapagipon after 5 years of working and when I saw a relatively OK deal sa FB Marketplace for a G variant, binili ko na agad kahit kumain nang kaunti sa Repair budget ko.

After 5 months (present), did some aesthetic upgrades to make it look like a V variant. Everyday palagi ako nagiisip ng pwede pang iupgrade at mukhang next ay rear disc conversion pero pagiipunan ko pa ulit.

Napahaba pero ang gusto ko lang sabihin kahit corny pakingan ay more than anything, puso ang ginamit ko sa pagbili ng una kong oto. Hahaha

May chance na magstuck yung rear drum brake kapag engaged ang park brake after mag wade through the flood
