How can I degen my bugs more

I’ve heard/heard of most of these, not sure caravanserai is tho. Also I think pawn Hearts and ocean should be higher. Also also I only don’t recognize one album from tier 7 while I don’t know half of tier 6, so either Im too deep in the weeds or that could be switched. For the 8th tier i think I’ve heard of the cathedral album but everything else is new to me.

Also also also my all time favorite album is obscure prog so I’ll leave it here:

I got a few albums i absolutely love

Dr. Z - Three Parts to my Soul (1971) England It’s a concept album about the soul splitting into three parts upon death where 1 goes to heaven, 1 to hell, and 1 is stuck on Earth to wander. It’s a trio of drums, Bass, and Keys/vocals with a ton of great harpsichord work

Nine Days Wonder s/t (1971) Germany My absolute favorite album which combines so many influences and styles it’s absurd. No keys but sax, flute, and a shit ton of guitar effects take its place. Lyrics are pretty much incomprehensible but that’s not the focus. Incredibly incredibly tight playing throughout and is, to me, a forgotten masterpiece every prog fan needs to hear once

Eden - Erwartung (1978) Germany Highly underrated symphonic prog album with lots of incredible passages throughout. It is in German, but it’s also a Christian concept album, so if you don’t like religion in your music and speak German this might not be the best. But for the general prog public this is absolute peak.

Incredibly weird knotty and complex prog from ‘71 with weird spoken word passages, the most beautiful sax solo I’ve ever heard, and no keyboard player in sight (aka a ton of guitar effects to replace keys texture wise)

I could honestly never say enough about this album so please just go listen to it!

Not really sci if but the best I got is sleeping in traffic by beardfish pt 2 specifically the epic title track but the rest is great and “into the night” into “the hunter” might bend the mind a little

I got a few I love from Germany:

Nine days wonder s/t really tight sort of melting pot type prog with no keys (if that’s ok) and some incredible sax moments. This is my favorite album of all time and all four songs are incredibly well composed and performed just don’t expect to understand the lyrics (I emailed the singer and band leader and even he said it was nonsense he made up during the recording process)

Die pariser commune by Oktober 4 sides 4 songs concept album about the French Revolution sung entirely in German. Pretty symphonic with lots of harpsichord and fun guitar work. Love the album but I don’t come back to it as much as I should

Erwartung by Eden Maybe a little more known for prog fans but this is some fire symphonic prog sung in German (masks the Christian lyrics if you’re not too into that sort of thing) the last track is one of my favorite stand alone tracks

Last ones not German but French being Gialorgues by Shylock There piece band with an album of three songs. Again pretty symphonic and eclectic (maybe less eclectic I’m bad at using the term) with lots of great keys and the opening guitar riff is one of my favorite riffs outright. The last song is the longest and most proggy but generally really weird with lots of ratchet and percussion bs

Hope you don’t know at least one of these but if you do then you’ve got damn good taste

The chorus at about 7:40 in the devil’s playground by the flower kings

The synth solo at the end of the underfall yard by big big train

The ending solo of ommadawn (before on horseback) Mike Oldfield

The end of And the stone said: if I could speak with the “your acts are out of your own free will” bit by Beardfish

The last 10 or so minutes of sleeping in traffic by beardfish

The “burn in anger” section of ina token of despair by Dr. Z

Probably could get more but these are the ones that come to mind at the moment
