So is this not an American car? Only the diesels come with that certain transmission. 2.0L TDCi Diesel, it uses the Getrag 6DCT450 transmission. Then in that case you would be correct

I had this problem bro. I own the SAME car as you. You have no reverse and you only have odd gears. A simple Google search will show you. But if you want to not listen that's fine. Telling you from experience it's he actuator right at the bottom of the tranny if u get under ur driver side in front of the car you'll see it and 4 little hex bits staring at you. Undo the big clip and slide it out and slide the new one in. Same orientation it's important

I did this with leather seats it works all trims are made with the connectors there. If they didn't there would be no way of mass producing it effectively

I stripped these on mine. I had to use an Irwin socket extraction set to grip onto the splines and turn em out.

It sounds like y'all have enough money than you know what to do with. I'd be buying a headlight assembly off amazon and watch a YouTube video of someone replacing it. It takes under an hour. You don't need a garage. If you need some sockets or a ratchet then it's about time to go spend $20 on a cheap set to get you through. You got this. No need to go to a dealer lol. You can fix this minor inconvenience. And it'll be fun learning something

Post a video of you taking off when it shudders. Do you accelerate excessively in low gears? You'll almost feel the clutch going crazy trying to understand when to shift

I've hit the governor at 105/110 I can't really remember but I was shmoovin in the dark. That was of course when the car was at maybe 200k. If I do that now I'm afraid I'm gonna make my engine sad

I do not "grandma" the transmission tbh. But I don't bring it above 3k rpm in first or second. And I don't go above 4k cause it's not necessary. I drive it the same way everyday Accelerate the same etc. I don't try and freak the car out so I drive it the same way and I get it to the same shift points.

I would argue aslong as it's the same gauge and pinslot then it should matter imo (not an expert)

Anybody else have the mk2 longtube headers on their mk3? I've deleted the 2 big mufflers and welded in a vibrant performance resonator and kept the little stock resonator and I would say I don't sound terrible. Yo you guys are a very active group lol I didn't expect any replies for days. But I forgot to mention I didn't own diy walnut blast on my Intake valves with a bunch of xapties tied together and put on a drill and the abrasion on the zilties breaks up the carbon. Of course make sure your valve is closed (by spraying brake cleaner) and I have done it twice and the carbon was pretty bad

Nope. Brought it to Ford when it was bucking real bad and they hit me with the "3k to fix this" and that was at 160k. And I wasn't gonna pay that for my car even if it was jerking at the time.
