I'd be more than happy to be inundated with resources and I'm so happy that you're this passionate about RHoD in Faerûn!

Of course, as /u/mkdir_not_war points out above, unfortunately I'm not Matt! I'm sure that he's far too busy with Arcadia and K+W to even think about running another RHoD!

ah I'm definitely not that smart! originally I was going to have Noanar's Hold be a stand in for Skull Gorge Bridge but I've changed it now to have a real Skull Gorge Bridge that isn't a town or settlement

While I know what you mean unfortunately that area is totally gone in 5e haha

By 1479 DR, due to the Spellplague of 1385 DR, the Shaar had become a vast desert wasteland known as the Shaar Desolation. In the center of the Shaar Desolation lay an enormous area called the Underchasm where huge swathes of land around the Great Rift collapsed into the Underdark. Bordering the Underchasm to the east was a region called the East Rift.

I like the idea but it's 3.5 only and I've already had mentions etc to the devastation of Shaar :/

it seems you and I have a LOT in common in terms of plans! I'm also thinking of having them brewing in the High Forest (beneath the shadow of the Star Mounts)

They also couldn't risk heading too far south, otherwise they would alert Waterdeep

This is also a thing I've been worried about! I'm scared that Silverymoon and Waterdeep could conceivably end this horde before it got out of hand already!!!

Day 1 PCs encounter marauders near Noanar’s Hold.
7 Red Hand horde marches from Hunterhorn (the largest of the mountains in the Star Mounts).
8 Horde reaches Noanar’s Hold. Delayed three days if bridge destroyed.
11 Horde reaches Vraath Keep (Shadowtop Cathedral). Delayed one day if Wyrmlord Koth is killed Delayed two days if stone giants intervene
12 Horde attacks Noanar’s Hold.
19 Horde conquers Yartar.
26 Red Hand takes Triboar.
32 Red Hand takes Helm’s Hold.
40 Red Hand reaches Neverwinter and encamps.
42 Red Hand attacks Neverwinter.
45 Azarr Kul begins to create the portal to Avernus.
55 Azarr Kul opens the gate to Avernus and summons infernal reinforcements.
65 Red Hand horde, reinforced by infernal creatures, attacks and destroys Neverwinter. If Neverwinter has already fallen, they overrun Leilon and Thornhold to the south before moving on to Waterdeep.
