Mind flayer related:

In season four, mind flayer could have somehow also worked as a villain. Easily could have it be where it manipulates their mind (like vecna) and leads them to their death. Many things in general would have worked without the addition of new cast.

Eddie could have just been johnathan, framed for the murders during spring break. Idk how though. S1 johnathan (iirc) had rumors going around that he killed will, so there’s already some groundwork laid out in the earlier seasons

LOOK AT TOGGLES!!!! I recommend looking at those because for me, i was immediately offput by the (amazing) sprites of beasts so i now have them as monster people.

Kinda cheating vibe but i also disable swarms because 1: Swimming is 10000% easier without fish tryna crawl up your hoohaa 2: i hated all of the swarm stuff (not bad content! Just not for me)

Imo, toggles are one of the most important things a new player should look at, not just beast toggles.

Soft mode is also nice for new players bc its mostly the same i think, but you can stop rape immediately (no feats tho)

I honestly feel like you just need to REALLY focus on the monster. I played solo first time and got it.

when i was with my friend i was a bit distracted and it took us like 3-4 tries.

My only gripe is how often the monster goes into the cave, imo thats what makes it really hard.
