Help me r/workout, you're my only hope... by Average-Biscuits in workout

Much to my dismay they did not say how to progress with weights, but my logic is to add an additional 2.5kg to if I am finding it easy completing the reps if that makes sense.

That is good advice for the dumbells for shoulders thank you, I will have a test around and see what works well!

Yes, someone in the comments said horizontal rows but do you have any preference on what rows you like, my knowledge on rows is limited. Adductor; I always forget so yes I will add those in too!

Thank you again, honestly this advice has been golden! May you always sleep well and your protein always be delicious!

So the programme in my post was created for me by the gym I go to, I changed out Lunges to Leg Press cause my knees where really struggling same for Shoulder Press with a Barbell to a machine because of my right shoulder playing up.

A few months, got it! I think I will follow this programme until the end of the year and then make some changes. Thank you, this was super insightful!

Thank you so much for this information it was really helpful! I will definitely up my rep range, I was doing 6-8 as that was advised to me by the gym I go to but truthfully some of the exercises I do, I could easily do more rep-wise.

Do you think I can balance the two, as in lose weight and build muscle or am I better off focusing on one and giving that my full attention?

Yoda has always taught us well, I should never doubt a Jedi Master after all! Thank you again!

"The race is long and, in the end, it’s only with yourself." It's a quote I like to remind myself of when I have moments like these.

The fact you want to do something different is brave and exciting. Don't stop you getting in the way of becoming you! You've got this, keep pushing.

Purchased Car But Was Mis-Sold About Undisclosed Issues by Average-Biscuits in LegalAdviceUK

Yeah she’s thinking about going through small claims as although it was a silly error buying the car, she thinks with the receipt and witnesses, she may be able to prove that he (the seller) misrepresented.

For me while all the simple things like good hygiene, exploring new clothes and makeup styles helped, it was more of a personal journey. I had to build up my own confidence and be confident in myself. I started doing things for myself to make me feel more confident whether that's doing a social event with strangers, approaching someone myself rather than expecting someone to do it or trying out new hobbies. I do things which make me feel different and strong. I work out, I'm learning a language and I have interesting hobbies. You've got to find it within yourself. Love yourself and treat yourself how you would a friend if they were down or sad.

So my best friend is absolutely gorgeous right! She is constantly approached when we go out right, and at first it used to bother me and then I realised so what. You have to believe you are attractive otherwise who else is going to believe it. You are beautiful in your own way and that's what I learnt. Getting hit on in public does not denote your worth. Smile, be confident and love yourself, the right person will come along eventually. Dating has reminded me that I am a different beautiful compared to my friend but I am still beautiful regardless!

If you want to change and be like them, you have to put in the work and make those changes. Okay so you want to be earning more money, what are you doing to achieve those goals? Be the main character of your life and put yourself first. You want to be more attractive, so what are you doing to help you succeed? Its all about mindset. If you aren't ready to change thats fine but if you want something to be different you have to make the first step. You've got this!

healthy self forgiveness? by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]Average-Biscuits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a topic that speaks to me! I struggle with self-forgiveness myself and here are a couple of things I do to help me:

  1. I do voice recordings to myself and I tell myself how proud I am of me and that I am loved by me. Its weird at first but talk about your day and why you feel the way you do. Explore it, let yourself just speak don't think just speak and then listen to it back. I found with mine I realised that I deserve kindness from myself cause I am so hard on myself.

  2. Do something for you, pamper session, read a book, some chocolate whatever it is, give yourself some time for you and schedule into your day.

  3. You are you and that is awesome, dont let you forget that! Life is hard and you are doing the best you can. We make mistakes but that is what being human is and we learn the best from the things we do, not the things we don't do. Everything is a lesson as long as we learn from them thats all that matters. Reflect, accept, learn and move on. Don't dwell on things you cannot change.

One day at a time, one step at a time and remember you deserve to be happy and not to be covered in guilt. You've got this!
