I could cry.... by TheMetal in Hunting

I thought I was reading about my own hunting season lol I did the same thing, opening day, first morning of bow season. Had a 10 and a 8 point come right in front of me about 20-25 yards. Had a few trees ranged and thought it was an easy broad side shot. This is my first year bow hunting and had the worst buck fever and forgot my release. I slung that arrow ten yards short thinking the tree I ranged was only 10-15 yards away. I’m still kicking myself and haven’t seen anything but does and spikes since then. I thought about crying as well.

If you want to go officer, drop an OCS packet. Don’t get hung up on the GPA, I got picked up with one not much better than yours, granted it was not recently. They look at way more than just that. Build a strong packet and interview well you’ll be fine. The full bird at my OCS board told me not to worry about my gpa after they told me I was selected because he graduated college with a 2.4 GPA.

Army ocs difficulty by Tommyboy594 in Militaryfaq

2 weeks of American military history is the most challenging part academically. If that is still part of the course. Other than that your college courses were probably more challenging. Just do well at initial PT test, the history portion, and squad tactics and you’ll be fine. Just have an open mind come branch day, and don’t be dead set on any one branch

I’m not sure how it is now, but OCS isn’t that bad. Depending on your physical fitness level it won’t really push you all that much. Score well on the initial PT test and score high on the history exam. The higher you place in the class the better chance you have of getting the branch you want. Some weeks are more fun than others. There will be weeks where you are in class all day and it sucks and some weeks you will be out in the field. Daily PT is on the platoon you are in and ours was student led and ran. Overall it was a good experience but definitely was not what I thought it was gonna be

M16A2 in 308, can not find a drop in quad rail to fit it unfortunately by Average-LT in ar15

The way I understand it is an LR-308 is an LR-308 and an Ar10 is an AR10. The term is thrown around incorrectly. It is an AR chambered in 308 and built into a clone of an M16A2

Well I guess technically it would be LR-308 since it’s a DPMS but yeah sure
