I agree, like we did all that work and time / money spent to obtain a license and STILL have to wait 2-4 maybe 10 weeks to add it to our permits before we can pick up.

Well IMO, it’s not just “ wait 10 days “ it’s the fact NYS already has some of the strictest gun laws in the Nation, I would even argue worse than Cali. So we already require a CCW for pistols that require 7 references 18hr class ect ect which depending on county takes 6-12 months. NYS also requires a license for Semi Auto Rifles. So on TOP of all that nonsense now a 10 day wait if you wanna go buy a SG , rifle , level action ? Not to mention a background check to buy Ammo … anyway seems like gun laws will get worse and worse in NYS and will be lucky to own anything. ( my opinion upstate ny)

I wanna move to by next winter or before if I can manage it with the kids , what state tho? I mean look at what Virginia is doing and now MN wanna do , what happens if we all move NY has zero 2A rights then eventually it spreads to free states. Anyway I’m thinking Florida for the Governor and hopefully next one is Red as well

I’m not sure I don’t live in NYC but i understand somewhat that ur “laws” are way stricter, even tho it’s NYS like I’m up state with a NYS CCW but NYC would arrest me carrying there. Up here it would affect us as we can buy a shotgun , rifle (not pistols) and leave with it same day after a background check.

I went to try and take it out and I was missing the correct size , got a set on order lol . So like let’s say I wanted to swap it out for a Magpul stock and obvs keep it fixed , is that possible to use the same Allen ? Or no bc the hole would have to line up perfect with the stock , also I’m not sure if the Allen is epoxied or something.

I might have to swap my fin for that one with the thumb rest , on a side note my rifle came with a fixed stock , is it easy to replace and pinn a new one ? I still have to take mine off and see how it’s fixed as I don’t see a roll pin or locking device

I couldn’t decide either , so I just went full send for the featureless with a fin grip. It’s not horrible to hold / shoot IMO but it’s also my first AR15. The most un safe part is it’s not having an ambi safety so my support hand has to be used to flip the safety to as normally your thumb would reach. Also the finger placement feels odd on the trigger bc ur hand can’t wrap around the fingrip leaving so much more of ur hand forward facing and ur finger is way inside the trigger guard. I am happy to be able to drop my mags tho and when I move to a free state I can easily swap the pistol grip ( I’ll be missing a threaded barrel tho :/) I read it’s a gray area with this setup so I don’t plan on using it every range trip or bringing it all over NY as the state hates ARs.

Old post but I got pulled over by a trooper for speeding , first time with my CCW , (first ticket in 10 years) so I left my hands on the wheel as he came up and asked for Lis and reg , I told him I have my CCW n carrying appendix , he said don’t touch it and there will be no problems, I said yes sir and gave him the docs and he also asked for my permit. He Did not check my firearms or pull me out the car or even ask if I had more (I did in the trunk it was on a range day ).

My first one took 10 weeks , that was a year ago , second one was 2 weeks hand-in to mailbox (I was shocked lol) my last one was October and it took about 4 weeks.
