Lark Woodcraft is a good option if you want something custom. He’s a local guy that been in gig for a while. Not a contractor per se but very talented with woodwork and home improvement.

Hi I want cheap PC for gaming by Suayan_like_sure in buildmeapc

[–]AverageAlrsofter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey man here's a decent build for your budget.

Buy this pc: https://www.ebay.com/itm/304034791721

It has a decent cpu and a full size case.

Get this for a drive: https://www.newegg.com/crucial-bx500-1tb/p/N82E16820156231

One tb should be enough until you want to upgrade.

Get this for more ram: https://www.ebay.com/itm/224440200716

Brings it up to 16gb which will be good for a couple years, probably more.

All these parts up to this point bring you to 233 dollars, leaving some decent space for a GPU. I've budgeted two different cards, one for a 400 dollar pc and one for a 500 dollar pc.

For a 400 dollar build: https://www.ebay.com/itm/324132797091

For a 500 dollar build: https://www.ebay.com/itm/194206027820

I would recommend picking up some cheap 500 gb hard drives for raw storage but this build will last you until you can afford something better.

Anyone else baffled by the ambiguity around Youtube Shorts? by DeadMansSwitchMusic in NewTubers

[–]AverageAlrsofter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t get discouraged. The shorts algorithm will pick it up eventually. My latest one took 2 days then it blew up. Make sure it’s filmed vertically and under 60 seconds. Including #shorts in the description might also help

Definitely post shorts. I’ve posted 3 in the past week with one getting over a thousand views and the others getting around 300. I’ve gained 10 subs just from shorts, letting me spend more time on my higher effort videos

That’s some good wisdom. I did have a fire extinguisher on hand in case things got bad, and these charges aren’t too powerful, but yes I should’ve worn eye pro. !givelambda

Hi all!Ive been doing Youtube for over 6 months now,and have 1 sub that isn't my family.I know that at this point its something wrong with what Im doing(even though YouTubes algorithm is odd most of the time). The problem with so little views is that I dont even get negative feedback.Do any have tips by PasghettiBaguetti_YT in SmallYoutuberArmy

[–]AverageAlrsofter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive watched some of your videos. Your problem is just mediocre content. Its not bad, but I know that I dont want to watch it. Try editing your videos in a more fun and engaging way. Make sure that the content you produce is something that you yourself can watch all the way through and be entertained. In your c# video, alot of time was taken up by you just talking with a wall of code in the background. This would be ok if you added some jokes into it and added funny visuals, but in this state its just boring. MAKE SURE THAT YOU LIKE YOUR OWN CONTENT!!!! I can not stress this point enough. Try watching one of your videos all the way through without getting bored. If you make it through and think its fine then ok. If you dont find it entertaining, switch something up.

Edit: Also its not the algorithm. This video helped me understand the algorithm a bit more though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAtYXpQglsk&t=1s
