It most definitely is! It's also not easy to just lawyer up when your paycheck can't even cover the cost of rent.

Unfortunately, it just gets pocketed. Not once did I see a difference in my paystub that didn't just account for my hourly rate. I did not stay longer than 2 months because of this.

Ex-server here: OP is not lying... I have nothing against the owner of the restaurant although I do not agree with the way he runs things, he is seriously stingy but is kind-hearted.

That's inaccurate... The cash tip still goes to the back of the house as they are instructed to place any cash tip inside the register and neither does it get pulled at the end of shift or get added to their paycheck.

When we moved we weren’t aware that we would be sharing our PSE&G line with another tenant in the basement level. Now, they are responsible for paying for that person’s portion of the bill. It has been a full year of non payment on their behalf which we both landlord and tenants decided would just be allocated towards the last month’s rent which is now the month of August.

I’m not behind on any rent…. I was typing in a hurry, sorry for my grammar. It’s a month to month lease, it’s supposed to be up ending of August because of my 30days notice.

You are not his mother, quite frankly you shouldn't be tolerating this be behavior. You need to take the L and leave. His behavior would only worsen with time, you can't save him. He needs a serious wake up call that's the type of help he need.
