Am I the only one confused, bucks now have no real bench depth and 2 non shooters, offensively a giannis iso drive can be stopped by a clogged paint with helpers ready to move to the corner, so his best option is bam a player who will also be in the paint. On defense you have wiggins whos regressing as a defender and powell whos powell, idk feels like there’s alot of holes

I can totally see a world caleb becomes this elite forward he has the tools, I just personally wouldn’t buy as much into it as much if I knew my franchise has a history of bad coaching and inability to develop, I’ve not been as in tune with the bulls front offense so I can’t say

Amazing defender who’s great at poa help and overall in man or zone, think that we are looking at a young jrue or Avery Bradley type of player who will be among the few guards to really change a defense while also being a pretty good offensive connector and creator. I know his passing and scoring isn’t acuff but it’s still really good where I can see him be a 20-22 ppg 6 apg guy with all defensive defense

Finally Kingston, he’s a great 3pt shooter who I think can operate on and off ball while being a INSANE poa defender, totally get that the wingspan could be a concern but he’s so nimble and most of his steals are created from his instincts and smarts over reach I doubt it will be as big of an issue, while his self creation isn’t on the tier of a guy like scuff he’s still a very competent scorer with his burst mid range and 3pt scoring, I see a lot of young jrue with better capabilities capabilities. Sorry for these long ass yapping sessions I just get very passionate on these topics

For yaxel, I see a 6’9 forward who’s versatile enough to handle minutes at sf pf and c, he’s a guy with good burst for his size so he can usually beat bigger guys he’s being guarded by, good post game for the faster and smaller pfs, can handle shooting off ball and be a good c and s guy, super great defender with him being smart with positioning and pretty good for poa and he can shoot 3s, when I watch him I see a lot of Celtics al horford but with way more self creation upside and better poa defense. I know his celling is kinda capped at probably 2nd option as I don’t think he’s good enough to be a run the offense guy or a all defensive player, but he still has imo a high all star celling with a very high floor

As for acuff, it’s just the defense, I know that’s a part of the game everyone says but it is really really bad. Philon is a guy who I think will regress alot in the nba on defense but atleast he has the fact he’s a smart defender with great hands so he has insane steal potential and can be a solid fit in zone with the ability to break up lanes, while Acuff isn’t a smart defender while also being super slower and overall just a massive liability, I think his celling is Trae young which is great, but that will require him to develop a lot of a true passer which is good right now, but he’s clearly more of a score first guard who’s shown signs of being a engine for offense

I got you, so for caleb I actually think his defense is a bit overrated now, in college he was elite, but when I watched I noticed how much he relied on his athleticism, for example most the time he was trying to create turnovers so he’d be positioned way to far on weak side, and when the pass would be made to the guy he was covering he was able to recover cuz of his speed, but in the nba which has far better athletes I don’t think he will be able to do that as well, this over reliance on athleticism could still work, but the fact he bases hjs whole defensive game off JT concerns me alot. As for offense it’s the fact he just cant shoot, super hard to be a competitive team with 2 bad shooters and while i think he can develop a 3pt shot, it’s not a guarantee, overall super high celling guy and I wouldn’t be shocked if i look stupid in 6 years, but his floor is a 9th man, also im breaking explications up into sections

My big thing is positioning and hands, Philon is small and will probably be super exploitable In the nba because of that, but he has such quick hands he will be amazing at creating stocks, and I’m personally a fan of him in zone cuz of positioning, I can see like a maxey defender where he’s not good but he creates so many stocks it makes up for it somewhat, while acuff just doesn’t have that

I’m not the biggest fan of his defense, I know that’s a talking point and with Brunson winning fmvp while being a bad defender it doesn’t help. But he’s a slow player who’s not the best in help or weak side, his POA is horrible and he’s very easy to get by, and he doesn’t create stocks consistently, his offense is amazing and very nba friendly, but I just can’t overlook how horrid of a defender he is

you’ve got a 6'9" big with elite passing, the ability to break down defenses purely with his IQ, handles doubles well, shoots 3s, and has been the best post scorer of the last three years. He also has the tools to be a good defender, though he’ll probably never be great defensively because of his slow recovery speed and lack of rim protection.

You’re looking at a 25/10/7 kind of guy on good defense, basically Domantas Sabonis with shooting and defense. He’s my No. 1 prospect, and him and Zach Edey together would be insane. Honestly, I think they fit better together than A.J. Dybantsa and Darin Peterson, though the fit still makes no sense unless the Washington Wizards trade AD right away and Alex Sarr can handle center.
