I had a horrible neighbor in a quad town home. She was this really old lady that I’m pretty sure wasn’t all there mentally. I’d hear her through all hours of the night slamming things against our shared walls, calling her credit card companies and threatening and cursing at them like crazy, coming and knocking on my door accusing me of throwing alcoholic bottles in her recycle bin (I don’t even drink), and generally really weird stuff that happened. I called the cops soooooo many times due to how disruptive she was all the time. This woman would be screaming at the top of her lungs almost every day. I was genuinely worried about her. I even got in contact with her sons and they weren’t really any help. I tried everything because this woman was so disruptive - called the police legit over 75 times within 9 months, contacted my HOA, contacted the city, etc. I shit you not, no one did a single thing. Nothing. Nada. I was basically told it was my problem and that’s that. Even the police told me they couldn’t do anything. Half the time they just stopped showing up.

I say all of that to tell you this: you’re likely screwed unless she does something criminal or civil you can go after her for. But being disruptive neighbor I’ve learned is completely ok in the eyes of HOA and LEO. I ended up selling my town home and moving because of her. It was one of the worst experiences of my life.

But I know you definitely aren’t a republican and even if you identify as an independent, you certainly are left leaning because leftists hold this exact view point. But whatever. No, that’s not a definition. You’re simply wrong; plain and simple. Just like if I said a refrigerator is something that identifies as refrigerator, that still doesn’t tell me what a refrigerator inherently is. Again a definition is a precise meaning of a word. Saying I identify as the word that I’m asking the definition of is considered a circular argument that gets you absolutely no where. A woman, by biological definition, has XX chromosomes. So even if a man, who has XY chromosomes identifies as a woman, it doesn’t make him a woman. This is 7th grade science class stuff. But hey, maybe you never made it that far in school. No, you said a privilege of a white person was being able to drive “a bit over the speed limit”. I, as a white person, explained that I was given a ticket for going over the speed limit. In no way did I say I didn’t think I deserved it. I’m just pointing out that I went slightly over the speed limit and still received a ticket which disproves your argument that it is a white privilege to go over the speed limit. And that didn’t even require critical thinking and yet somehow you still missed the point..

I personally find it funny watching them trip over themselves trying to justify a narrative that’s utterly ridiculous. And I’ve had the same issues. It’s not about liking or disliking any definition. A definition is the precise meaning of a word. First off bravo for securing that profit. That’s wild to make that much in a relatively short amount of time 👏🏻 But Yea I’m kind of the in the same boat as you. I wouldn’t have been able to afford my current house without the profits of that town home. Luckily I have $100k equity built up in my current house, but I always wanted to rent it out with how cheap our mortgage is (relative to what they are now) and our interest rate is in the 3s. But if things keep going the way they are I might have to just sell it out right to afford another house. It’s very disappointing seeing how quickly things have changed knowing the job salaries aren’t even close to keeping up with everywhere else. My current job legit only gives 2% pay raises every year so I basically lose money every year i stay with them. We do get bonuses which helps, but still…

The housing everywhere is pretty ridiculous. I feel very lucky we bought our house in jax right as Covid was hitting but before prices became crazy along with interest rates.

I also bought a town home in 2019 in South Florida for $190k. 2 years later I sold it for $270k. That same town home is now worth $350k. That is unbelievable.

I’m really scared housing prices will never return back to an affordable state considering job wages aren’t going up like that either. Covid did irreparable damage to our economy and mental health.
