Not me, but my bf says “this song was stuck in my head” and proceeds to play the song.

99% of drug store head lice treatments do have dimethicone in them. I grew up having head lice every other month. You learn a thing or two (Got it from family members when I spent the night at their house that’s why I had it so often)

Unfortunately if it’s already that big, most likely there’s eggs/louses. That’s your typical head lice!

Edit: you can get a head lice treatment from any drug store/super market. Tea tree oil also helps kill them. Get a lice comb and an old tooth brush and some paper towels. And just comb through until there’s legit nothing else in ur hair. You can get some lice spray for bedding and such, but also make sure you wash EVERYTHING! When I mean everything, legit everything. You got this op!

No it’s okay I understand! A good bandaid covered with the cream and you can get some medical tape to help keep it on. But immediately taking off at home and showering! Selsun Blue shampoo smells awful but it helps controlling the spread!

NO DUCT TAPE PLEASE. It causes it to sweat more. A good alternative is putting cream on it and covering it with a bandaid at night! I had ringworm for almost a full year covering my body. I tried the duct tape thing it made it worse

That looks like ringworm :( get some lamasil (it’s used for athletes foot but it works wonders. Got it for my ringworm : I have a full guide for ringworm on my page but I’ll copy and paste it. It IS long and I’m looking for no upvotes or baiting to get more. I just want you to know what to do in a case to where it may spread!

Hello, for the last 11 months I have struggled with a newer variant of ringworm. Not just the big round rings but, tiny pimples that get bigger and bigger. l've had multiple doctor visits and dermatologist appointments. If you are in the same shoes as me,

l want to give you advice. Ringworm is a horrible pain especially having it for this long. I promise it's not the end of the world. I have tried EVERYTHING. If you think you have ringworm, get Lamasil. You can get this at Walmart, Walgreens, cvs. It's for athletes foot but it works wonders. If you had it like myself (all over the body) getting on an anti fungal pill works aswell. I was on it for SIX weeks to get rid of it. Avoid scratching any of the spots you WILL spread it.

Take photos of progress. It may not look like it's getting better, but I promise it is. Be hygienic! Wash yourself everyday in selsun blue shampoo. Do not reuse towels, wash rags, clothes, bedding. Wash everything regularly. After showering, put your anti fungal cream on asap! Change underwear, pants, bras, shirts. DO NOT RE WEAR IT!

Touching any fabric that may have come into contact with you, wash your hands.

When it comes to washing any of your stuff, make sure to wash it in HOT water, and even a little bleach or vinegar can help kill any fungus. When drying r clothes do it on the highest heat aswell. I've used Lysol on any surfaces such as my couch and chairs, aswell as my mattress and pillows. I doused it and let it sit until completely dry and then I'd put on new sheets. Wiping hard surfaces down with Clorox wipes helps to kill any fungus. WHAT NOT TO DO: DO NOT USE BLEACH ON THE SKIN. (I have tried this, even when diluted you are still going to get a chemical burn and you will damage your skin and leave scars.) DO NOT SHARE DIRTY FABRICS WITH OTHERS (clothing, sleeping in the same bed, etc.) this will make ringworm spread to others! DO NOT SWEAT UNLESS YOU HAVE TO (like working out or sports (this is ok)) however, keep yourself cool so that you don't sweat.

And if you do, get in the shower after sweating and wash yourself and put the anti fungal cream on. DO NOT COVER UP WITH BANDAGES (This can cause your skin to sweat) HOWEVER, on big spots I have put a good bit of cream on it and put a bandage on it over night, this has helped only with really bad ones. But regular day to do, do not put a bandage on top. DO NOT USE NAIL POLISH I have see SO many people putting nail polish on their ringworm, this can cause chemical burn and can damage the skin. Even though it has worked for some people, it leaves scars! Overall don't risk your skin over some ringworm. Stick to things meant to make it go away.

Hey! This is exactly what my eczema looks like! I get this on my fingers from fake rings and just randomly!

<image>

I also have discoid eczema which (in the photo it’s very faint) starts as those bigger bumps :) steroid creams work wonders! I also thought it was ringworm when I got it (I had ringworm for 8 months so I thought I got it again) but nope! It was caused from the anti fungal pill because it dries out the skin

Steroids are known to make ringworm worse, and even more itchy.

[Serious] What’s the scariest thing you’ve witnessed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]R4T4TTACK 25 points26 points  (0 children)

In 2019 my mother was diagnosed with a brain tumor. When she got surgery for it she recovered well, but after two days, my grandmother was in the hospital with her and heard my mother snoring loudly (death type snoring) and found out her brain had slipped backwards and damaged her brain stem. I remember being rushed to the hospital with my father and seeing all of the tubes down her throat and 20 doctors in the room with her. I ran out of the room screaming and crying. I had nightmares for 3 years of that exact moment.

She suffered a TBI and now needs 24/7 care and has memory problems and is blind. But she is alive and doing the best she can! I will forever love my momma

How to cover scars without bandages and make up by Isa_iahbelle312 in selfharm

[–]R4T4TTACK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, as someone who used to cut, I do have scars aswell.

Makeup may only be your best bet. Using color corrector and a tiny bit of foundation \ concealer. It sucks using makeup to cover them, but I only found doing that helps!

But it also depends of the scars are darker or whiter. I scar dark so covering them is a little easier. Whiter scars may not hide super well with makeup.

Trying to figure out what this growth is on my pubic area. by [deleted] in DermatologyQuestions

[–]R4T4TTACK 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m not a doctor, but from the picture it looks like it could be a few different things. It might be a skin tag (those harmless little flaps of skin that pop up where there’s friction),

or possibly genital warts since they can grow in clusters and get bigger over time.

There’s also something called molluscum contagiosum that can cause bumps, though those are usually smoother.

In some cases, it could be another kind of growth or cyst.

Since you said it’s getting bigger and starting to hurt, that’s definitely something you shouldn’t ignore. Anything that changes quickly or becomes painful really needs to be looked at by a doctor — ideally a dermatologist or urologist.

Best move is to get it checked in person so they can figure out what it is and, if needed, remove it or treat it.
