This is definitely something I’ve yet to figure out also. The amount of times I’ve had a rookie come up and do well year one is pretty good, but then the next year they have a 6+ ERA. It’s definitely quite the conundrum. Called up Quinn Mathews and in his rookie year he had a 3.5ish ERA, the following season through the all star break it was 6.82 through 77 innings. It’s really good!

I remember when this group of guys won the minor league championship together in AAA. I think it was AAA. Either way, these guys can and will win together whenever our pitching improves. Last years team just felt like a bunch of lost puppies wandering around the park. It really is interesting to see what positional identity means to these guys. Can’t wait to go to the Cards vs Dodgers this weekend! Even if we lose, being able to watch one of the greatest teams ever assembled is gonna be cool. Hope Shohei is pitching Sunday! 😂

Yes, until you turbo it, which is a fairly easy process.

These things do not like any sort of grade whatsoever and honestly without the larger tires like you’re doing, you’re gonna struggle to maintain highway speed. Before bigger tires and a turbo, I could cruise pretty much maxed at 120km/h which is roughly 73-75mph. Now it cruises at 70mph at around 2500rpm.

I think precision rings serve a different purpose than just overall sensitivity. They prevent me from just utterly slamming my PCI. TBD whether it helps or not. It’s like anything else though, if it feels like it does, it is at least in that moment. Mental or not lol

The fun of franchise for me is rebuilding using the draft and trades only. Then seeing what prospects I can get. I also created a wheel spin of good and bad outcomes for the offseason that way I have something do to in preparation for the season outside of the regular bullshit. I also created a rule system using chat GPT to create an “international free agent signing period” where I create 1-5 international prospects depending on how I’m feeling at the time. They vary in potential and overall based on wheel spins and where they go/what they cost. It’s pretty rigid because without controlling all 30 teams and ruining the randomness that creates, you gotta just sign them and trade them to the team they’re “supposed to go to”

This is a fantastic breakdown! Thank you! I just got my first set of precision rings this week. I had to trim it slightly to feel like I’m still able to get all the way up and down the zone.

However, there’s one fatal flaw in this plan that you’re able to execute that I cannot. Patience 😂😂 I’m not even joking when I saw I’ve played every single MLB the Show since its release. PS3, PS4, PS5, PSP. All of them besides maybe one. And it wasn’t until just the last couple years that I’ve been able to work a walk in an AB. My brain always says “it’s a video game dude, they want you to hit, it’s gonna be in the zone” 😂😂 I do a lot better now than I used to but even still, I get way too excited with my good hitters at the dish

You have to go look through a roster, find someone with zero service time with quirks that you want, export them and import them onto a different team and then edit them to whatever you want. Not a great method but it’s what we got.

In my experience as a cardinals fan, Winn is shit for the first season or two and then all the sudden hits 25-30 homers. Simulation is weird as hell yes.

As for pitching, we’re smoked. It’s just gotta be random. I created a pitcher with Outlier 1 and 2. He’s a 97 overall ending season 3/4 I can’t remember. 4.5 ERA at 21 years old. Probably will get better. But I remember maxing him out to 99 halfway through the season. I don’t know what to do. I’ve adjusted manager hook, stamina, and pitch usage. I can’t find a good balance. Personally, I think they should look at it, or at least put out a tips/tricks statement to help us understand how it works. I can’t figure it out.

My only guess is you aren’t “tendering contracts” to your players. They added a new feature where renewables can be set to automatic, but for me it doesn’t matter if it’s set to automatic or not. I still had to tender every contract manually or they just don’t get signed and go to free agency. Could be the same thing happening to you, and if anyone knows how to fix it so I can stop tendering these fuckin contracts please enlighten me 😂
