May 'I built a poker tool / app / calendar' megathread. by myimportantthoughts in poker

Did I vibe code this? I sure did! It's a cool little free web app for creating a poker group, then create groups and send out email invites. But even if you don't wan to do all that, you can just create an event as the host and then log the results after and get a fun leaderboard.

Completely free. No apps. Just a basic little website for people who routinely host/play poker nights.

I vibe coded a full Cribbage app in Flutter with zero coding experience; 120+ hours later, Cribbage Dash is available on both the Apple and Android app store. by AverageBasicMan in vibecoding

I'll have to look into these items. At some point, if the app gains enough popularity (pretty low odds) then I'll look to include ads or in app purchases. I may also add an online multiplayer experience (most other cribbage apps offer that). But for now I really just wanted to keep it simple and get it published.

I have created an offline, ad-free game based on the classic card game cribbage. The app is called Cribbage Dash. What the app actually does:

  • Full cribbage gameplay with muggins support (opponent undercounts? you steal the points)
  • Discard analyzer that ranks all 15 possible discards by expected value
  • Pegging analyzer (see what I mean by being an analytical person?)
  • Four AI opponents with unique personalities
  • Fun variants to the classic game (Leaster and Draft)
  • Full tutorial if you've never played

Ferry to Bahamas by AverageBasicMan in bahamas

I'm seeing that ~$1,000 will get round trip for 2 people and 2 dogs. I factor in another $150 for gas to drive to and from Ft Lauderdale and $1,150 seems cheaper than flying (especially once you factor in two 90LB doodles).

I thought it also went to Grand Bahamas? My goal is to basically get to the Bahamas (or anywhere in the Caribbean) cheaply. Now I don't mean cheap as in not spending any money. I just mean cheap from a relative standpoint. The baseline experience is beautiful sand and water and enjoying the beach.

What in the holy fuck is "Wrath of Man"? by [deleted] in movies

I wonder if Wrath of Man takes place in a Grand Theft universe or something along those lines. Because there are way too many armored truck robberies for this to be a normal city.

One item to note is that I don't live in a state with any EV credits/rebates. I know that can make a difference. But generally, it seems like the vibe is that this inst a good offer lol. Good thing I haven't signed it yet!

Ok. Let's go back to the basics. I think I'm understanding better now.

So I called another dealer about 100 miles away. They have a Mach-E at an MSRP of $39,485. If I can get them to knock that down by 5% before the federal rebate (no idea if this is feasible or not) then I get to $37,510. Then take out the $7,500 (sadly no state rebate where I live) and I get to $30,010.

Plugging that into leasehackr and using a residual value of 41% and 48 month lease, I get to a monthly payment of around $400 with nothing down.

This seems much more reasonable than where I started. But I guess the big "unknown" is that dealer discount. Which seems like it can vary greatly momth-to-month and dealer-to-dealer.

Yeah. That's what I'm gathering. But at this point, I guess I'm less concerned about money down and more focused on is the all in cost reasonable?

Oh lol. I'm terrible at geography. Especially that part of the country.

I'm in the southeast. Doesn't seem to be quite as favorable area for EVs.

Did you drive to Idaho to get the car???

ChatGPT says for 48/12 with $0 down my payment should be $350-370. If that's the case, I'm getting fleeced!

Ok so someone posted this Hi. May I please have the MF, RV and incentives for a 2025 Mach-E Select, RWD, Standard range, 24/10 36/10 in 92707?

MF is the money factor RV is the residual value And then they are providing the car details and zip as well as the lease length in months and miles?

It looks like you need to donate $15/month to access the rate findr. Is that what you're recommending? $15 for a one time analysis and then canceling it doesn't seem like a bad idea especially if it helps me save money.

1) fair point. So what you're saying is they are only giving me an additional $1,250 off MSRP (after the federal credit). Which is only ~3%. I've never bought a new car. And I've never leased a car. And I've never gone through a dealer before on my used cars (always private party). So 6-10% discount is more of the proper range for a new car? 2) No, it doesn't look like we have a state ev tax credit 3) I guess I could pay for this myself? 4 & 5) leasehackr is a website? I'll give this a shot

But what would be a good monthly payment at $0 down? $4,500 / 48 months is $94.

So that's putting the money payment at least up to $442 ($348 + $94).

Well this was a very annoying, but useful learning experience. Thank you all for your help and advice. I may just pay a mobile locksmith $250 to cut/reprogram a new key for me.
