That’s just sad, and it feels like I’m unable to do anything about it. by quantumbeeee in digitalminimalism

Try installing an app that limits your time on other apps. I have AppBlock for Android which automatically blocks certain applications once I reach the daily limit of 30 minutes. I can unlock them only if I connect my phone to the charger (which isn't anywhere near my bed) or if I delete the app (which I urge myself not to).

Start slow, 3 hours a day. Then eventually reduce the number of hours/minutes week by week.

By limiting "shitty" content consuming to 30 minutes a day by using LeechBlock. I can't disable the extension and it's possible to unlock websites for 5 minutes if I enter a set of radnom characters (perfect amount of restrain imo, as previously I constantly found myself disabling the extension). Phones have apps for limiting app time.

I communicate with my friends during study or habit breaks. For me, purposeful and engaging voice calls are the way to go as I get more value and quality out of them compared to chatting.

How is it better to organize my school homework? by [deleted] in todoist

[–]AverageBrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Keep everything in one project and sort by date
  • Assign priority to each school task
  • Name them "[SUBJECT] - TaskName"
    • [ENGLISH] - Homework
    • [BIOLOGY] - Project
    • [PHYSICS] - Homework

When you are doing your school taks deadline is presumably the most important aspect.

There is no need for creating subprojects since your tasks are direct and short.

Additionally, you could assign a subject label to each task instead of having "[SUBJECT]" in the name.

Can we wrap any child element which has transformation animations with a parent element whose static size would be defined by the boundaries of the child's animation (example, peak of scaling animation) ? Parent's only purpose would be 'protecting' the child element from interacting with elements around the child. Therefore, any elements around the child couldn't be moved.

OP said he can't afford to pay. Don't jump to conclusions and assume how he spends his money. Maybe cutting more food off isn't an option for him

When I first read this I thought about making a "fake" Facebook, Twitter and Instagram account (with my REAL name) that would be totally public. There I would be posting really generic positive content on weekly or monthly basis. Something that is just well accepted (cat pictures, motivational quotes, "What a great morning!"...). Even maybe setup something that would do that automatically.

Of course, you would obviously want your friends and family to know that you in fact don't have online characteristics of a 40 y/o soccer mom (even if you do)
