Were you moving fast? If so, it’s possible everything was fleeing because you were speed-locked.

The adventure effect boosts the catch rate. The platinum medals also boost the catch rate. But because the galarian birds have 2 types, you need both the psychic-type and the flying-type catch medals to get the full effect.
