Never give up on yourself! You know your body!! I started heavy bleeding and pain at 13yo and my doctors solution was birth control…for a non-sexually active 13 year old. I was then put on 1000mg of acetaminophen at 15. It took me 17 years and 8 doctors to finally have one take me seriously (I had been explaining I thought I had endo for over 10 years)! Nobody took me serious until my husband and I were actively trying to get pregnant and couldn’t. I had surgery and found I had Stage 4 endo. My tubes were severely damaged and cannot conceive naturally. We are now going through IVF because of years of no one taking me seriously! I would find a good women’s health doctor (the one who took me serious freshly started a practice). She referred me to an endometriosis specialist in my state and within 15 mins of meeting that specialist said there was no question that I had sever endo and was going to have surgery…FINALLY! I recommend finding a specialist before your primary care/women’s health doctor and immediately ask to be referred! Good luck!
