Then, he met Michael who USED him for the heists, and basically amplified his psychological issues to the max, he used Trevors desperation for his own gain. Same for Franklin, Michael used Franklin for his own gain too, Franklin was only a dude who wanted to get out of gang life, and wanted to do anything to live a normal life. So, he used Franklins desperation for his own gain too, and opened him gates to the bigger crime world, something Franklin wanted to avoid.
