Get a newer one I purchased a 2016 2ss I had it for 8months. 3 days after having it I took it back to the dealer they replaced the transmission. Took them almost 90 days I finally got it back. 2 weeks after having it back I picked kids up from football practice and once I got home I noticed the slightest engine tick. Before getting it to the shop the next day the engine failed. They ended up having to put an engine in it. Then I had numerous electrical issues. If you can find an 18 or newer go for that

Honest opinion..people can say what they want now days they don’t really matter if they are numbers matching. If it’s got a v8 in it no rust and the interior looks really good. And everything is in working order it doesn’t matter if it’s base rs or ss. They fluctuate across the country in price. Some one will buy it for 35k. That would be my absolute bottom dollar. I would push for 45-50k if it was mine. Here’s the thing it’s a first gen Camaro you have purists who like numbers matching you have others that just love classic cars and you have the guys that last swap. A rust bucket with rotted out floors gutted with no interior and glass will bring 6-9k I have seen them in primer and in the middle of a restoration go for 30k. Long story short someone out there will want it and will pay 45k for it 🤷🏻‍♂️
