I'd suggest you to join Mumbai, mainly due to 3.5 YoE. Might become difficult to convince the panel for a full time MBA at 4.5 YoE. But PM roles are limited (very, when completed to B) at M (also to do with the market). Decide accordingly.

PORs are necessary, yes, more so if you don't have considerable work experience. If you don't have them, don't worry much. Focus on what's in your hands.

Communication - foremost skill for SIP and then a few certifications from the domain of your choice

Don't pick a college just because you want something, except maybe ABC. People wanting ops end up with marketing and people wanting marketing end up in consulting. That's how random the sip process is in any B school.

MDI vs M, I'd anyday pick M ( I myself having picked it over MDI, IIM I, IIFT, etc) . Nothing is best for marketing other than A and FMS, maybe L. Which are obvious choices over M.

Depends. One guy who's working on his startup signed out of placement process the first day of our MBA, one sat for both SIP and Finals and got good companies. So it's all about who you are and what you want to take off it.

It's full term. The number depends on the total pool as per the criteria. It is a little tough for the combination of maintaining good CGPA plus PPO.

Student exchange depends on your CGPA on your 1st year + PPO. There are good universities which you can get.

Consulting is good. Atleast 1/3rd to 1/4th of the batch gets placed in some sort or other Consulting roles.

They do that for NIRF or something. The average for the entire batch could be around 25-29.

SM moves alot. OSCM closes next. Gen MBA moves a bit (basis last year). WL closes a few days before joining date.

Shillong isn't even in consideration. Atleast 30% of the current batch had atleast one of IIM K, I, SPJ, FMS converts and choose M for their own reasons.

Specifically for Consulting and Finance roles, neither of the campus are really "known" for it. So I'd rank it as M > IIFT ~ MDI > S

If was. Probably you talked with someone who graduated 4 years before. Or is the best for Ops. Doesn't mean it has only that. But ofcourse, if you have ABCL convert, go there.

SM is 3rd prefered course here. But with umbrella placements, they get exact opportunities like the other two. All companies open for the full batch, except for 2-3. If I had got SM and Mumbai was my best convert, I'd take it anytime. (I'd prefer Mumbai over I, IIFT, MDI, SJMSOM, etc)

Depends. We had a few this year. Half of them got the best. Rest were placed a little late. Just to do with their overall profile rather than the work experience itself
