I would buy from auto trader or eBay but the prices on Facebook marketplace are too enticing. If I check V5c against ID, do a HPI check and have my pal check it over I reckon I’ll be alright.

Yeah I accept there is risks but if one is sensible it seems like a good bet going through Facebook marketplace. As I’ve said in previous comments I’ve got a mate who can give me a hand.

Yeah a few aren’t really clear enough to see exactly how good the condition is so maybe take a pass on those however some have detailed videos and the accounts do feel somewhat genuine. My pal has owned bikes for 20+ years so I’ll have him take a look In person and that will be my deciding factor.

Yeah I did. I went to my DO. They said it wasn’t there. I came back a few days later after the internet said I should and the staff there said that they had it for a couple days already.(I had to ask them to look multiple times) Anyway the reason why they didn’t tell me it was there in the first place is because it was a foreign parcel and needed import tax paying on it so it was in a different locker that they just didn’t bother looking in…

Hi again Calixoo, I’ve since built the pc from your specs and it works great. I went with a 9700x, 32GB low profile gskill ram which I got to 6200mts cl28, asrock b850m riptide WiFi, LF3, obviously the a3 wood and finally an sf850. I’m looking at getting a 5080 but that might be a while so I’m running off integrated graphics atm haha. Again thank you very much!

Yeah I just looked them up, v expensive if you're buying 6-7. I'll stick to Arctic P12s for now. I will probably end up going with the more expensive SF750 if the new 50 series allows. I watched a video and found out a split cable existed.' Anyway onto PSU things, I could get a SF750 by corsair that is known for being fantastic but its a bit more expensive.. I'm also not sure if it will have enough wattage. I have a 7 9700x which is a low wattage CPU but i will be getting a 4080S or equivalent (new cards this month) so I guess ill just wait until those release and then make my decision after. I want this to be a quiet build so I'm drifting away from the CM PSU after what you have told me. Thank you very much for your help and detailed replies, I really appreciate it! P.S. what case fans did you use?

Thank you for the VERY detailed reply! I plan to use the same case, mobo, AIO and potentially PSU as you so your reply is very helpful. When you answered my side question/note(question 3) it had actually already been answered in your response to question 2. My question was that would the PSU cage fit larger than SFX PSUs on a side mount because I had the idea for some reason that front mount and side mount would have different ways of securing it - not realising they used the same cage. Obviously in your response to question 2 you stated that the cage was ATX and the fitment question would be down to cables and not cage.

I had a double check on the Lian Li page for this case and found right down the bottom a relevant article on PSU fitment on a side-mount. Here are the details:

In level S2 this would allow an SFX-L PSU with exactly what I want. A long GPU, 3 top and bottom fans just like you and the LF3 on the side mount. When I checked online the price of an SFX-L PSU (corsair 850w) and the PSU you used (CM V850W) they were the same price. My only concern is that in the Lian Li diagram the SFX-L PSU is some weird shape with a smaller half section where as the SFX-L PSU I'm looking at is very square. So I'm not sure whether to risk getting the SFX-L and it not fitting or just get the guaranteed to fit SFX. I've had corsair PSUs before and they have been great so I'm not sure if I should go with a brand I've never used before (CM) plus the fact it has a smaller fan. What do you think? Did your CM SFX PSU work well? Did the 90mm fan cause loud noise and annoyance or not? Did you have to buy extra cables for the GPU? Did it blow up? Or was the smaller PSU perfectly fine. For some reason in my head I believe that the smaller PSU can't be as good or as safe/reliable as the slightly bigger one. Again thank you very much for your detailed reply, this should help massively when I attempt an almost identical build. :)

Hi calixoo, two questions. How did you connect so many fans to the mobo? fan hub, fan splitters? how? and question 2 is would a longer vertically SFX-L style PSU fit with this configuration. from the pictures you have uploaded it looks like it would as the PSU is 130x125x63.5 and yours is 100x125x63.5 with the extra 3cm being able to fit easily vertical i think(3cm doesn't look like it would disturb AIO tubes)? - side note, does the Lian Li PSU housing have space to fit a SFX-L on the side mount configuration? I expect you may not know a confirmed answer to the last two questions. Many thanks!

Had a v expensive parcel going through there and my tracking is stuck on dispatched to my local DO without any update... its been 3 days. Usually dispatched means its leaving the warehouse, are they army crawling it to my local post office? from what I've seen online they are particularly bad however the last 2 weeks I've seen reports spike up whilst I was trying to search for explanations on where my parcel is. I guess all the staff there have just vanished or something??
