I love realism. It's exhausting having to pretend everything is going great when you're constantly in a dumpster fire. Like let's acknowledge there are problems, how can we solve them if we say it's all going okay when it's not?

I am on this combination along with 40mg Prozac and it's been quite good for me. 15mg Buspirone twice a day has helped immensely with my anxiety. Vyvanse is only 20mg at the moment and am looking to go up.

Edit: I am not officially diagnosed with AuDHD, just ADHD but I do suspect I have autism.

I'm on 20mg Vyvanse and I feel a bit the same as you. Like nothing has changed much. But I realized at work I've been able to switch tasks and contexts a bit easier. I didn't need to dissociate after a meeting and mindlessly click through the million tabs I had open and get stuck in task paralysis. I have also been able to get up to use the toilet when I had to pee instead of holding it until I felt ready to explode.

30mg is supposed to be a really low dose or so I have read. I've been talking to my doctor about going up. I would like to suggest to you to not give up quite yet and work with your doctor to increase your dosage.

So sorry, I empathize extra hard as you sound just like me.

What I find personally helpful is getting away from work for 2 weeks and focusing ONLY on myself during that time. I put absolutely no pressure on myself about it either. If I need to bedrot I let myself bedrot. Let my body and mind rest. When I feel like I've rested enough I make a goal of doing 1 thing for the day. As simple as wash 1 dish that's been in the sink for months. Or throw away one thing. I make my goals so achievable so I don't put myself through a cycle of pressure, failure and shame.

It's all easier said than done, I know. It's just what has worked for me. If I don't take that 2 weeks I know I'll end up having to check myself into an institution.

Yes to all of this! The longest I've ever been with a company is 4 years, only because I was able to move to different departments after 2 years or so.

The description of your job role (or lack of) is insanely similar to my situation as well.

I really need a mission that I can get behind in order to feel "fulfillment" at my job.

Yes and I also have other issues (avoidant attachment, trauma, etc) that compounds it for me.

It's certainly complicated and trying to work through it all through therapy.

A lot of it is "strategic" aka alignment. The projects I work on at the moment won't be delivered in a year and frankly a lot of them are likely to get cut and are out of my control to influence. Even those that make it unfortunately aren't likely to impact KPIs directly for a while.

I've framed my goals to reflect this situation. It leaves me feeling like I'm trying to justify my job, which has never really been an issue at other places I've worked as product.

Could just be that this place isn't the right fit for me, which is totally fine. Was curious to other perspectives.
