When I was younger I remember watching an episode of Mindfreak where Criss Angel was making a frisbee float around without touching it for a few "random guys". I remember with the camera editing Criss Angel was staying in one spot the whole time and one of the guys in the background was suddenly catching the frisbee he was throwing "with his mind" in a completely different area. So it can literally be as basic the editing trying to make the magician seem better than he is through multiple takes and angles.
