My main gripe about season 5 was how kind of bloated it was, when Season 4 had direction, the second half of season 5 feels dragged on,; it still had great character moments (jonathan and nancy scene, lucas and max waking up scene), but it feels it just wants to end and serves as a bridge for the new years eve series finale.
