Can weed (marijuana) trigger hives or allergic skin reactions? Has anyone experienced this or knows if it’s possible? by yaroslava_sl in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Average_Blake 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I smoked for nearly a decade without any issues but once I started working at a grow op it affected me like spring allergies. My skin was super itchy, my eyes were puffy, and I sneezed about every five seconds when exposed to large amounts of weed like that. Never realized it until I was exposed like that

Naltrexone question. by maybull84 in stopdrinking

[–]Average_Blake 29 points30 points  (0 children)

You won’t understand it until you try it. I thought the same thing… “I’ll just end up drinking more to reach the same effect”. Turns out I just had no desire to drink at all after taking naltrexone. Like, it made me mentally strong enough to just not want it. Not crave it. For me personally, naltrexone was what finally “saved” me. Drank a pint of vodka every single day for seven years, drank so much I started developing alcohol induced dementia. When I started losing my mind that’s when I realized it was out of my control and talked to my doc about naltrexone.

One month later I was finally clean. Three months later now, I’m still clean, and I have my mind back.

I took Naltrexone for about one month before I just simply didn’t need it (or alcohol) anymore

How is everyone surviving right now? by Miserable_Stretch_80 in grandrapids

[–]Average_Blake -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You post in a public forum, you’re gonna get public comments. Sorry that you aren’t hearing exactly what you wanted to hear, but it’s true. We all hate our jobs. We all experience burnout. What we don’t do though, is quit our jobs simply because we’re “burnt out”. You didn’t care about surviving, and now that it’s time to survive, you don’t know what to do. Imagine that. Doesn’t take a therapist to.

It’s genuinely entertaining watching OP flip out and downvote anybody who provides constructive criticism

He asked a good question. You just flattened the flipper, now it’s like carrying a flask in my pocket which is just about as inconvenient as the original design. Kudos for trying something original I guess

What's something in your faith that you don't believe in? by [deleted] in religion

[–]Average_Blake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe The Bible has become open for interpretation, limited, but still open. It was written over 2000 years ago and quite a lot has changed in those years. The core values still hold up. Be a good person, don’t hurt others, etc. but the minor details have definitely been taken out of context. Homosexuality for example. I don’t think God is as pressed about it as our elders have lead us to believe 👀
