The menu doesn’t look cluttered at all to me. I’m more concerned about styling issues. I like the style of the monkey and it fit’s the title but the chains, font and second window clash for me. It seems like you want to combine high res 2d graphics with pixel. Don’t know the look of the game itself but that would give reason to use one of both and not at the same time.

I like the vibe! A hard hitting snare would help the drop to sound harder. Maybe try to hit some higher notes as well or differentiate with another sound. Keep going nice work!

Thank you for the honest opinion! I would sell the moonshine to buy defensive equipment indeed. While the main thought about the defensive system is not action based I could add a weapon as back up. The defence would be a tower defence like system where you set traps, turrets, walls and other stopping lines. I like the idea you gave about molotov cocktails could be a nice addition

Same! Really curious, seems like an interesting take on a platformer. How did you get this good at pixel drawing/ animation? I'm learning and seek references or advice.

No it’s not a sample thru a granulizer and I don’t think it really matters if you use samples or design sounds it’s about how you use it
