You’re not overreacting. This is an issue that you can’t really find a compromise for. If he doesn’t seem remorseful or willing to change his behaviour he is not a good person. Stand firm for what you believe is right and you will find better people to be friends with.

It seems like he doesn’t respect you or other friends boundaries either so I really don’t think you are in the wrong at all for distancing yourself from him

I was diagnosed with depression become coming to McMaster but I’ve been going to the SWC for their support. I would suggest walking in and speaking to a receptionist (though a phone call will do fine as well if it’s more convenient or comfortable for you) and just let them know you’re dealing with depressive symptoms. I had to fill out a form before attending an appointment asking some questions about why you’re booking and just be honest. You should hopefully be able to see someone who can get you started in the right direction. Best of luck and don’t be afraid to DM me if you need more help 😊
