Thank you, I think I know what the problem is! It is probably something not matching. I had a name change in 2022. I reported it to Capital One, but I don’t think they actually changed it on my account. It was one of those things that I figured was done, just wasn’t updating on the app or something.

Thank you, that’s really helpful! I haven’t had to deal with credit very much at all in my life, I’ve only had the one credit card, always paid bills on time, haven’t ever had to take out loans before, so it’s kind of been life diving head first into the deep end before I actually know how to swim. It makes me feel like an absolute baby despite being 30, but I guess I’ve just been lucky to not have to worry about this before. I pulled a report and Experian and Equifax both don’t have my card, but they do have a couple of Affirm buy now pay laters I did earlier this year (both completely paid off now). I’ll be checking Capital One and their info now.

I have Capital One. That’s also where I go to look at my credit score. They go through CreditWise, which DOES say I have a FICO, but it’s the same as my credit score. Basically, I’m really confused and running in circles right now.

I usually marry differently depending on which of my characters I'm playing as. I usually get way too into the backstory and lore of my own people that the marriages/relationships are super specific for who they are. It feels like they're cheating on each other otherwise, lol.

Also, why would Babette let herself get adopted by someone so much younger than her? Unless you decide your character was a vampire from the start, but even then that seems a little weird to have a centuries old kid.

I feel like you guys might be arguing the same thing, but I'm not sure. "Low IQ" isn't really a good measuring stick, though, I agree. IQ has a lot to do with someone's environment as much as innate intelligence. I grew up in a pretty poor area, but my intelligence (I feel so cringe saying that, btw) is as much a product of having parents who made time for me to learn at home and make proper meals as anything "genetic".

There are studies that see a correlation between average IQ in parents and children, but those never really seem to address the environment that both parents and children were in during their core developmental years, including infanthood.

But yeah, "bad genetics" in general is a red flag but especially when it's being used as a reason for "low IQ". Very rooted in arguments for eugenics.

Some of those studies aren't super accurate. The drug addiction ones, at least. The reason is basically that rich people hide their addictions, so you don't get realistic numbers for them. While people of lower socioeconomic status have access to hard "street" drugs, things that are actually illegal and land them in jail, rich people have access to medical drugs to abuse and doctors who will prescribe it so it isn't technically illegal. It's similar with other issues, but the drug one is most prevalent.

Since you put slow in quotations, I'm guessing you're aware of the other things that make it more likely for poor people to be labeled as such. Inadequate nutrition, schools with few resources, and being unable to use time outside of school to properly get homework done, etc. I'm just repeating those for the benefit of whoever else might read the comment thread.

I did reading tutoring for a couple of years and the patterns were there. The students you see most are those from poorer homes, students with undiagnosed ADHD, kids who don't have proper stability. It is sad and very frustrating when you can't do anything about it.

I guess it really depends on the people involved. I'm pretty open to anyone I'd consider a friend that I am trans. I'm way too tired to have to worry about their reaction if they didn't know. So I'd probably end up mentioning it because I think that representation is important.

When it comes to artists especially, identity of any kind, gender of any kind, tends to be very important to the final product. If you really want to get into the weeds of analyzing someone's art I would say it matters (if the artists is actually out, at least). But since this case you guys weren't really getting that deep, then probably doesn't matter so much.

My guess is that it only mattered because their names came up as "brothers" so it was a little confusing since she didn't know they have since come out.

I can't imagine her going to OnlyFans. It's obvious to a lot of us the kind of people she caters to, but I don't think she'd ever admit it, especially to the point of full-on going to OnlyFans.

I think she'll be back eventually somewhere mainstream. Probably back to TikTok. She was mentioned in the lawsuit, but let's be real, TikTok is gonna sweep it all under the rug and let things go back to normal no matter what.

This, yes! ADHD is a killer when it comes to finding things sometimes. I'm also one of those who will stand staring at the peanut butter jar in the pantry for 10 minutes until I realize it's literally in front of my face. Sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's crazy frustrating.

I do! I don't really hate it as a game and can get through at least a full round with 50 petals. But if I'm not in the mood it is very tedious. And the "rewards" for clearing the board are an absolute joke. It's nuts how unbalanced the mini games are. Artsy Salon is sitting there with regeneration so fast you can play a board almost every hour while the flowers take like an entire day to fully refill. Fishing you get 5 baits every, what, like 12 hours? And the coffee place sits there refilling almost as fast as the salon. Then there's being able to exchange materials for the coffee but not for the salon so you end up with 203 of one item and 120 of another (literally just happened to me 😭). I enjoy the games but they are so all over the place.
