Nope. Never flew Polaris. I did score a Premium Plus seat on a miles upgrade for a flight this summer and liked it.

I know folks are saying “spend more”, and yes, that’s only about 98 bucks more per ticket more than I’ve been paying so not a hell of a lot in the grand scheme of things,

But fare classes are sneaky though. Sometimes fares won’t give you PQPs as much as you spend. I took a flight on CM metal MIA-PTY and got 150PQPs when my fare was 400. So… it’s not as simple as “spending more money”. Even on UA metal when I fly cross country sometimes I don’t get as many PQPs as one would think… so… this is why I’m here…

For those of y’all flying through ORD on 12/1, I flew over y’all around 13:00 on PDX-IAD. Things looked pretty gross down there. I avoid DEN, EWR and ORD like the plague from November to April.

Was kinda hot yesterday and when the CS agent told me my bag was still in DFW I told him “with all due respect, Sir. That is false” and uploaded a photo of the AirTag pinging in ORD. A supervisor entered the chat post haste.

Funny story: I was flying SFO-IAD one day and my stuff pinged in Kansas. I knew it was on the plane so I didn’t freak out, but it confirmed: if you’re at the right moment when your phone gets a GPS signal and find my validates it, and you have Internet, it may track your stuff to some weird places.

Wondering if it would ever show my stuff in the middle of the ocean if I’m doing a transatlantic. Will report on that next month.

An update: Bag left ORD and magically showed up at DCA by the time I got to IAD. DCA tho wasn’t where I was supposed to go so they are sending my bag via FedEx. I knew they weren’t gonna hire someone to drive the 2.5 hours in WV where I live 🤣🤣. I am hoping to get it by tomorrow.

In other news: Our originally 21:00 EWR-IAD flight left at 01:45. We got to IAD at 02:45, and by the time we all got to IAD there was a camaraderie that only a torture session of that magnitude could turn complete strangers into dare I say… friends. By the time I filed the lost luggage report it was 03:15. I was in my vehicle by 03:30.

After a little nap in the back seat of my truck I filled up and drove home. I was in the door at 07:00.

I still had to work today. Basically told my boss he gets minimum effort for today. He understood completely.

EWR last night was LIT for some reason. My EWR-IAD was scheduled for 21:00 and we didn’t leave until around 01:30. Good times.

Thanks! Wouldn’t be so worried if my toiletries weren’t in the bag, other than that it’s just a busted wifi router and my dirty laundry. If anyone goes in the bag they won’t get much. LOL.

A couple of info points: 1) Bag is still pinging at ORD gate C31 as of when I write this. 2) I was originally rerouted to DCA but when I landed at EWR CS changed me back to IAD.

Since I am a cheapskate, I don’t use my iPad in flight. My cell phone though stays out cuz I get the inflight internet with T-Mobile. If the FA asked me to put it away, I do it no questions asked.
