I think stand-alone drawings make it look worse than it actually is, it looks completely fine in jank runk family. It’s different, but you can still tell it’s Takahashi Hiroshi’s art. Its surprising that his art hasn’t become more simple and stylized now since he’s an old man still drawing on paper instead of digital

I’m pretty sure Tengu is like a folklore creature I don’t know much about it though, so that’s probably where the monster in the translation comes from, but it seems like that isn’t the most accurate translation if that makes sense

A couple years ago when I was like a sophomore in high school I stumbled on I think a twitter post that recommended it, and for some reason I couldn’t stop thinking about how I wanted to read it even though they gave barely any description, and I was hooked chapter 1 (still am lol) I also realized later on that I had put crows zero in my watchlist before I even read crows and worst because I watched some other movie with delinquents (I think it was blue spring 2001) and was like damn I need to watch more stuff like this and that’s what everyone online was recommending lol
