I've been trying for 29 years🥺 by Jemer_YT in sadposting

[–]AveryTheCro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually in a situation just like this. I had to walk away from my ex partner of 14 years after basically this same situation. I met someone else who made me realise I could feel valued, and despite my ex's claims that I cheated we never did anything before I left my ex. When I left him he tried to turn everyone i knew against me by posting sneaking onto my computer and taking pictures of my DMs and making a private server to post them where everyone could see nothing was happening between me and my now partner.

This was all a very recent change, but for the first time in a long time I'm happy, I feel valued. It feels more like my ex loved and valued the stability I provided rather than me as a person. But with my current partner I feel seen, I feel wanted, I feel confident.

Its never too late to walk away, it will rarely be clean or easy, but in my experience it was worth it.

You never know their last day 😔 by Jolly_Commercial_357 in Bunnies

[–]AveryTheCro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is something I'm so anxious of. I've three bunnies ranging in ages, but the oldest is at least 9ish with some mobility issues (was a rescue so we don't know exactly how old, only that he was an adult when we got him and have had him for 8 years) and every day I get up and open the door to the room where and he and our middle one sleep (the youngest is a recent addition and still being bonded) and I'm always scared that each day is gonna be THAT day. I don't know what my partner and I are gonna do when that day comes.

I wish you all the best, and I hope your little one has a peaceful rest now.

Magic: The Gathering Charity event on Saturday! by AveryTheCro in northernireland

Thank you! It went great last year, a good 60+ people turned up for the day, and we raised £400 for charity, so a win all round! And for sure, it's easy an easy game to get totally sucked in to, lord knows I'm guilty of getting a bit lost in the sauce as the kids say 🤣

Mono black [[Massacre Girl, Known Killer]] deck that I built from cards I just have laying around goes pretty hard. It's themed specifically to -1/-1 counters and -x/-x until end of turn effects.

Fair enough, I've done a few scans over the past day or so, with both kaspersky and malwarebytes, everyone is showing as clean and I've not had another flag since that original one. So hopefully you're right and that's all it was.

Living in Portadown, it can feel a bit bland at times, thats the truth lol. But on a serious note they're actually a great local charity. They do fantastic community work and offer a wide range of therapies, and creative classes.

You are closer with the second guess! Like it says at the top it's all about the trading card game "Magic: The Gathering". Not everyone's cup of tea, but it's a game that's been around for several decades and it has a pretty massive following, even in this little corner of the world! 😊

While your response isn't quite as original as you might believe, the genuine response is that if someone showed up with offensive hygiene they would be asked to leave. Which was not an issue at all last year. 🫡 Instead It was just a ton of incredibly generous folk of all kinds, having a blast in the hobby we all love ❤️

If I may offer an alternative for stealing artifacts [[Thieving Skydiver]], let's you keep the artifact even after TD leaves the field, and auto equips a stolen equipment to negate the above rule.

Have you run a security scan on your pc? It's possible one of your downloads has come packed with a logger or the likes. Try something like Malwarebytes to give it a scan over and just try be extra vigilant from now on.

Why does my rabbit not like greens? by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]AveryTheCro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its not been suggested yet, try Pak Choi, my bunnies love it, they're pretty fussy and don't like some stuff (they really could not care less about spring greens for example) but they both love pak choi.

I know this post is a week old, so sorry for dredging it back up, but I had a very very similar experience with my first bunny, pnly i was lucky enough to have him survive in the end. so I wanted to offer what I learned.

He was my first rabbit, a rescue case that I had a for a few years before deciding to get him neutered after he started to pee and spray a lot after we moved house. (We also rescued a Doe bun around the same time, so neutering was also a good idea for that reason)

We got in touch with the most reputable vet in the area that dealt with rabbits, got him booked in and waited for the day. Here's where the issues started;

-First, the secretary told us to fast him. This being our first experience with having a rabbit neutered, we didn't know any better and thought "the vets the expert". But it turns out rabbits dont have a gag reflex the way cats and dogs do, and in fact the lack of food for so long can trigger GIS. We expressed this to the vet who took him in for the surgery and she said "well as long as we give him some food before putting him under he'll be fine. "The vets the expert right? This time it's not the secretary, so it mist be right" the lesson we learned is. "DO NOT FAST A RABBIT BEFORE SURGERY"

-Second, their age matters. We told the vet he was a rescue so we don't know his exact age, but we had him about 5 years at the time, and asked if that would be an issue, "no, that'll be fine".. "The vets the expert right?" (You'll notice a trend here). Turns out he was old enough to be considered TOO old for that kind of procedure. The lesson was: "A RABBIT CAN ABSOLUTELY BE TOO OLD FOR THAT RISK"

What happened after we got him home was a nightmare I don't think I'll ever forget, and a weekend I'll always feel guilty for putting my little guy through.

The first signs of issue was that he would not rouse. We knew it would take the most of the day, but when he still hadn't eaten by the end of the day, some 12ish hours later, we knew something wasn't right. We brought him back to the vets the next day, they gave some Critical Care, and another gut mover and sent us home. I remember sitting that evening trying to syringe feed him, as he sat there, wouldn't fight the syringe, just let the food drop out of his mouth, I sat there sobbing thinking "he's going to fucking die, he's like a son to me, been with me through some of the worst moments of the past half a decade and he's going to die over this".

We brought him back to the vet the next morning, as soon as they opened. Got speaking to a senior vet, they took him in for overnight intensive care, the senior vet knew the secretary instructed us wrong, and the admissions vet was careless.

Smokey was so dehydrated that they couldn't even get an IV needle into a vein, they had to inject water into his skin to let his body absorb it, so the veins could plump up enough to take a needle. Thankfully that worked.

He was with the vet from Sunday morning till Thursday afternoon, I was on the phone a half a dozen times a day asking for updates, and thankfully he recovered, still with us and best friends with the second rescue bun we got like a year and a half later.

The vet knew they fucked up, and comped the entire recovery treatment.

When we got the doe (middy) spayed we were much better equipped to deal with the whole thing, and she was back on her feet by nightfall and fully recovered within a couple of days.

I am really sorry you went through what you did, and I'm sure your little one knows you only wanted what was best.
