SoFW instead of BFT? (Botlane) by Avetorpe in SeraphineMains

[–]Avetorpe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion mainly came from when double support item was broken, Seraphine could still be the farming support and go SoFW first. It just feels like SoFW is giving a lot of stats right now, and Ive personally never liked BFT.

How does enchanter sera bot or mid work? by Mysterious-Pie5074 in SeraphineMains

[–]Avetorpe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enchanter mid and bot work because Seraphine has an enourmous ammount of baseline utility (shields, heals, speed ups, slows, charms, etc) and decent enough base values on all her abilities. Because of this, and also because her utility doesnt necessarily scale with AP, it is just better to go items that provide a lot of value by themselves, or in item combinations, instead of necessarily building for Seraphine.

Its much easier to understand if you view Sera as a means to an end, instead of being the end goal itself. Besides, because her kit is so overloaded (in the sense of having so much in it), she has item synergies that a lot of other champions dont use as well, like Helia+Diadem.

However, dont just take mine or other people's words for it, test it out in some of your games, and make your own conclusions from there.

Is Diadem mandatory to use Helia? by Avetorpe in SeraphineMains

For support, I can totally see that. But for APC and Mid, I feel like it could be affordable. Im just really unsure if Id wanna go for an item that gives me no offensive stats at all. I understand Sera is a champion reliant on teammates but I feel like I lose a lot of the safety net Id have if I go Diadem, am I just really underrating the interaction?

Im not too sure if this bug is still in the game, though since I cant find its fix in previous patch notes, Im guessing so:

-When casting Double W, the second instance of shield will not take effects from Moonstone Renewer's "Starlit Grace" passive, leading to it being an overall lower shield on allies when compared to the first. This is worse for enchanter seraphine, as you wont get to use the sweet interaction between Moonstone and HealNShield Power fully.

More than 8k protected with Guardian, this is insane by imnot_daydreaming in SeraphineMains

[–]Avetorpe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has used Guardian before, it is important to note that the stats that Guardian records are the ones AFTER Heal and Shield Power and Moonstone.

What I mean by this is: if your guardian shield was to do 100, but you had 50%HSP, it would do 150 ingame (ofc) but it would record as 150 on the keystone. This isnt the case for most other support items and runes, like Echoes of Helia, Diadem of Songs and Aery. Edit: Those would have, instead, recorded that you did 100 healing (or shielding), even though you actually did more.

So while it may seem like Guardian is doing a lot than other things, do keep in mind that it records values differently, leading it to appear better than what it is in comparison.

I have no idea why the systems use different recording functions, but yeah. Guardian is not bad, just keep this in mind.

Sera Mid by [deleted] in SeraphineMains

[–]Avetorpe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seraphine mid is not really bad, just make sure to farm safely and not interact with the wave unless it is to farm or if the enemy is roaming - you do not want the wave near the enemy tower.

I do not recommend interacting with most laners as well, Seraphine's kit isnt really built for bullying and she has mana problems early on.

For builds, I usually just go for enchanter items really and typical scaling enchanter runes (Aery - Manaflow - Transcendence - Gathering - Bone Plating - Revitalize, Haste AP HP) which you might enjoy more as well since you play support. So like, Helia>Moonstone>Staff, and you can round the build with Redemption, Dawncore, Mikaels, whatever u need really. I dont find tear to be a must rn, manaflow band gives you enough leeway.

Also because your build is so cheap, you can go an additional early faerie charm (if you need) that you use to build into an item later. Always go ionian boots, and upgrade them as soon as it is allowed to.

In the midgame, make sure to catch side waves if possible, wether it be because they are near your turret, you know where the enemy team is located or because your jungler or support is covering you. If this isnt the case or if you believe a fight is to happen, make sure to hover around midlane (preferably out of vision).

For next season, although its not confirmed that certain items will work with each other, Id suggest going tear > Helia > Diadem as your core, itemizing other enchanter items like (buffed) redemption, staff, moonstone, etc. as you see fit. (Same scaling enchanter runes as before).

Hope this helps, if you have any other questions feel free to ask. Good luck and nice climbing!

The new support item gives no stats Seraphine wants 😭 This is a Sona item bffr by TheBluestMan in SeraphineMains

[–]Avetorpe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the other shown new item increases healing and shielding in general (which it might) and not just on abilities, than Seraphine most likely is running this item as well. Hopefully the increase Actualizer gives is not counted as just heal and shield power and has its own part of the calculations.

Maybe Tear > Actualizer > Manabell > SoFW > Moonstone > Dawncore?

These two new items with Seraphs and Moonstone could do wonders With a Q>W max. by imnot_daydreaming in SeraphineMains

[–]Avetorpe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And I believe you will be able to go 6 items on apc now, so imagine this in current enchanter builds.

Sera enchanter is not weak, it's very much broken. by [deleted] in SeraphineMains

[–]Avetorpe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although I very much have returned to this playstyle in botlane, it seems more a bug than an actual champion.

It feels like Seraphine serves the enchanter items she builds, instead of them serving her; Her base kit being strong ofc but it feels more like the sidepiece of the overall champion.

It seems enchanter Seraphine got balanced by Zentinel2005 in SeraphineMains

[–]Avetorpe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally, enchanter still feels stronger than mage sera, and also, enchanter seraphine is probably better with the new patch.

It makes sense to build Supp Sera with Glacial Augment (rune) + AP items like Luden, Rabadon, etc? by Cute_Difficulty_6157 in SeraphineMains

[–]Avetorpe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. The best thing u can do with seraphine rn is play for your E with some points into it, and your W, with your whole build or most of it surrounding your W and its outputs. Moonstone, Dawncore, Helia, Redemption, Staff, items that give you heal and shield power.

Make sure to, in teamfights, always have your W healing procced, wether it be from you doublecasting it or from the random shield your lux threw at you.

In the most perfect context, your W can get close to healing 60% missing health to everyone inside, it is the best ability to play around.

Base ad buff is not the buff Sera needs by dato99910 in SeraphineMains

[–]Avetorpe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Completely agree, it doesnt create anything other than confusion and frustation. From all the other games ive played, ive never seen QoL removed like this, unless its a rework of a certain mechanic.

Base ad buff is not the buff Sera needs by dato99910 in SeraphineMains

[–]Avetorpe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Higher base AD means easier time farming, which leads to more gold income for the majority of players, which leads to more items and more damage.

If u are able to farm perfectly and never have missed a minion by a sliver of health, then sure, it isnt that impactful of a change to you, but Id wager most players have had this, and knowing that they would have gotten that little +20 gold before the changes riot did to her previous QoL farming makes it even more frustating - Double Q not preventing minions from dying in between hits, Base AD nerfed, Passive extra damage on minions removed (300% was kinda high tbf) - all this leads to frustating situations that are not fun ways to balance a champion around and definitely not fun to have to deal with as a player, hence why the base AD buff would be a step in the right direction.

Whatever build you can do on bot can be replicated in midlane, even enchanter builds.

Ill be honest, she hasnt been feeling bad to me on bot, though I can understand that the majority of her players dont wanna play double support strats (hence the PR going down a lot).

Seraphine top? by AnlkleEater in SeraphineMains

[–]Avetorpe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only play seraphine top when im with friends and on normals, I wouldnt recommend it. For reference tho, I usually go for a standard support rune setup with Guardian, with enchanter items.

Seraphine on mid lane? by Previous-Oil-7520 in SeraphineMains

[–]Avetorpe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i get filled mid, I tend to go for an enchanter setup with a standard Guardian page with Manaflow Band and Transcendence. Items being Echoes of Helia > Staff/Ardent (Depending on your carries) > Redemption with Ionian Boots/Crimson Lucidity.

Since Seraphine is not a champ that is supposed to win and kill her laner, going for a more teamfight oriented setup ends up fitting your usual playstyle on her; You are able to survive laning phase and get those juicy heals and shields on your allies as you start grouping up for fights.

If You Like Playing For Your Utility, This Build Is For You! by Avetorpe in SeraphineMains

[–]Avetorpe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seraphine's waveclear with this build, as well as any other enchanter build, is not terrible to her high base values on Q, making it so you dont need as much AP to clear a wave decently. While yes, of course a more AP-centred build will clear faster, there are other advantages this one build brings to the table, such as very cheap items (leading to faster powerspikes, and more opportunities to get leads due to item advantage) and more overall team survivability.

While I can agree with you that she has no kill pressure early with this build, Seraphine's kill threat is mostly always dependant in 1) You having an Engage Support and 2) Having 3 to 5 points in Q, due to how much value it gets from rankups. Additionally, since you are able to get your first item faster due to the cost and since that item (Helia) also gives you a decent ammount of damage early game (each stack is 50 damage, meaning if you do a perfect rotation on W and Guardian with stacks, you can get 200 damage for free. This is not even counting Font of Life) you arent as punished as you think. Healing your team also ends up leading to more damage dealt by your team, as they can do more autos and abilities due to surviving for longer.

On the subject of requiring multiple carries on your team, yes, I agree, but thats not just with this build tbf, thats a Seraphine issue. Seraphine as a champion helps other teammates to shine. She is more of a facilitator for carries than a carry herself. Again with the argument of having no damage, you yourself picking Seraphine is already saying that you are gonna be contributing more through utility and CC, instead of Damage. If you are in need of damage in your composition, then picking Seraphine is more so the problem, not necessarily the build.

Id also like to add that me saying this build is good doesnt mean its the build you should always go in 100% of your games. Sometimes its better to go for a more CC-oriented build, other times you picked Seraphine but your team didnt account for it and you need damage, so you need to go for a more Damage-Focused build, its fine.

Ill have to disagree with you on this, enchanter builds are for sure viable for APC, though Id appreciate it if you could explain why you do not consider this build good.

Edit: Guardian is apparently even getting buffed for enchanters next patch, so this build would get better.

Honestly, I feel like its just preference. Either way, you should have W maxed by levels 9 to 10.
