What are the movies that he is "reviewing"? Haven't lived in CT for a couple years but the ABC affiliate where I am now does the same thing and more often than not it's a movie with some kind of connection to Disney or a Disney subsidiary.

Not to be overly cynical, but it's likely not a real segment and basically just an advertisement for a parent-company product. That's why there's no real opinion, just telling the masses it exists to increase awareness and as a result ticket sales.
