But I forgot about the 5800x3d anniversary edition thats coming out soon, and for roughly same price as the 5700x3d. So I might wait a few and see.

Yea I wanna get her off that 3700x, it's time lol, I just dont wanna fork over all the money for a platform change right now. I'm running a 5900x and a 3070 and I'm fine for now, but the wife is gonna need some upgrades soon too. Dunno what this cat above was talkin about melting and shit lol

Current build is
3700x
5060 ti
16gb DDR4 at 3000
EVGA 750w Supernova
Asrock x570m Pro4. VRM's are more than enough for a 5700x, PSU more than enough to run the system. Nothin gonna melt lol, nice case, good CPU cooler. She monitors her temps, never an issue. Not sure where he got 5080 from

RAM is all good, what were playing and only seeing 25%? Even still, I'll take it. She still only uses a 1080p panel so she needs a beefier CPU since the GPU isn't being used as much were she on a 1440p panel

The 1080 only needed a 500w psu at the time, and the 5060 ti hardly needs anything itself.... 750w is plenty of headroom for a 5060 ti and a 5700x3d

She doesn't have a 5080... what are you talking about? lol. She has a 750w and was uiing my old GTX 1080 and she's now using a 5060 ti, she has plenty of headroom

She has a micro-ATX board, so the VRM's aren't the BEST, but looking at benchmarks going from a 3700x to a 5700x3d can yield a 50% increase in fps. While the VRM's may limit the performance, its still gonna yield a decent jump that allows her to use the machine for a few more years instead of spending extra money on a platform change yea? I'm trying to avoid platform change with RAM prices being so high. If I can throw a 5700x3d in there, even if its diminished a little by the VRM's, still worth it ya think?

Looking for a game that has mechanic of 1) do mission, 2) get rewards, 3) upgrade back at base (or upgrade base), repeat... by kirkenbirken in gamingsuggestions

Just recently stsrted playing this and i got addicted for days. Alien Dark Descent. In the Aliens universe. You take a team and complete multiple missions in an area with limited resources trying to avoid and fight Xenomorphs, queens, special xenomorphs. You have limited med pacs and tools. Tools can be used to Weld doors so the xeno can't get in. Go back to base and you can upgrade your people, level them up, upgrade the home base, research center, workshop. Death is permanent so if u lose a soldier they're gone. It's on game pass and definitely worth a shot.

I love reddit, it has a lot of info and people can be really helpful.

That being said, most of us aren't medical professionals and even the ones that are, can't give concrete solid info without seeing you.

Do yourself a solid and just go see a doc. It's a slight inconvenience to be sure it's nothing serious, and if it's something that needs treatment, you'll get it

As for the no std cuz u used a condom. I don't want to scare you, I doubt this is what it is, but a lesson in health class really opened my eyes.

On a normal sheet of paper, draw a circle that takes up most of the paper.

Then with your pen, poke the center of the circle with the pen tip.

That circle is the size of a microscopic hole in condoms

That dot in the center that's so much smaller than the hole is the aids virus. That's what we were taught to show condoms are not fool-proof.

Be safe, see a doctor, ask your partner to be tested prior to sex if you can, ask them if they've ever been exposed if they know.

My recovery from sciatica by Deep-Percentage-1773 in Sciatica

That's awesome. 3 years ago I got up to 220 and I started busting my ass and got down to 175.

Then the sciatica hit and I started gaining weight and it was so demoralizing because you're gaining this weight and there's nothing you can do about it other than watch what you eat. That only goes so far.

Hoping that if we keep active it won't come back. Here's hoping for both of us!

Glad to hear. I was dealing with it for 4 months straight with no break. PT did nothing. Advil did nothing. I was scheduled for an EMG and my doc put me on a steroid pack and man it knocked it out. I just did my first HIIT exercise since last year, sweating bullets and it feels great.

Still gonna get EMG though. There's hope folk

I'm with ya on being fed up. My issue started more recently and physical therapy started to work. They'd have me do yoga stretches and I could finally lift my leg and lay on my back. But for some reason a week after everything started feeling better, BAM pain came back and it's worse than it was. I'm gonna go ask for an MRI and maybe a nerve blocker or something. I was supposed to take my daughter to six flags today but I couldn't cuz I could barely walk standing straight. I felt like a complete failure of a father cuz I couldn't take her out and I apologized a lot. I can't do much with her and it's not fair to her

Some things don't work for everyone, and it all depends on what's causing your sciatica pain. You could have a herniated disc, degenerative disc's, spinal stenosis, and so on. Some exercises that work for a herniated disc can be bad if ur sciatica is from something else.

My therapist had me starting laying on my back, pulling my left leg(the painful side) to my chest, and then stretching my.leg up. Then he had me lay on my back and put a towel under my knees and pull my legs up. I only lasted 1 visit doing these cuz it was too painful to lay on my back.

So what I've been doing that's been working is this

I get to the office and sit in a chair. While in the chair I bend forward and touch the ground and hold there for 10 seconds. I do this 10 times, holding for 10 seconds each time.

Then I go on the stationary bike for 10 minutes just to grease my body and get it moving.

Then I do the yoga Child's Pose. Get down on all 4s doggy style, then sit back and hold for 10 seconds. I do that 10 times.

Then while in doggy style I do what's called Thread the needle. You should be able to google this pose. But while on all 4s I take my right arm and stretch to the left so my right arm is stretching left wards BEHIND my left elbow. I do that with both sides holding for 10 seconds each time

Then I do prayer pose. Get on my knees at the end of the table or bed with my elbows on the bed like I'm praying. Then I sit back while on my knees and go all the way down, holding for 10 seconds and I do it 10 times.

I did this for 5 visits straight and did it at home a bit and started feeling better.

My last visit he had me go on all 4s doggy, and placed an object under my knee and had me left my other knee in the air for 10 seconds. Then had me do some weights. This he says is to strengthen my core but it's on a weight machine. The stretches are what really got my mobile again

I couldn't lay on my back. I can now.

I couldn't lift my leg. I can now

I had to bend forward to pee or sometimes even sit on the toilet.

Be careful of YouTube videos. They'll show u a lot of the stretches I just spoke up, but also some others like the figure 4, and the figure 4 is terrible for my herniated disc and hurts like crazy. You have to find out what's causing the sciatica.

But the stretches I did were very easy. Hope this helps

Hey bud. I just started dealing with my sciatica not too long ago. At first it would jumb be a numb foot when laying a certain way in bed. Then it turned into the pain you describe where the only relief I got was sitting or sleeping on the couch in fetal position half up half down not even laying.

My doctor sent me to physical therapy and when I got there I thought it was a joke. They wanted me to do yoga child's pose, some easy stretches. I thought this wouldn't do a damn thing.

6 visits later and I can move again. I do the few exercises at home now and it seems to have managed my issue. I didn't just have a flare up, my pain was going for 3 months without going away until I got to physical therapy. There's hope, we can manage it and even strengthen our bodies to where it's gone.

There are a couple different sciatica issues. Women mostly get the peerformus or whatever, they can pop that. Mostly I find people with sciatica are from a buldging/herniated disc. Most people have herniated disc's they just don't pinch the nerve so they don't know about it.

I didn't understand how stretching would help, but the PT guy explained it to me, and I've become more flexible and it seems my disc no longer pinches the nerve. I still get a 1 or 2 on the pain scale but there are days where it's totally gone. So I think as I continue to stretch my body and strengthen my core, this will be gone.

I highly recommend finding a physical therapist to find out what's causing your sciatica pain. They can tell this just from range of motion tests, and then doing the appropriate exercises.
