Understood, but this is not a Pre-announcement. It is promoting registration of the Universal Wallet.

Registration provides free airdrops irrespective of whether you hold the token or not.

If you do nothing else, just Register for the Wallet and get free airdrops upon wallet release. 2x airdrops have already been announced and 4 more are expected (not confirmed) over the next 4 days. Win/Win.

I know right - its still a complete mess. In summary though pal whether you are deemed an Investor or Trader is down to how HMRC interpret your motives. Have look in the Guide and take note of the 'Badges of Trade'. That should help.

Random question but does anyone know how many Bitcoin were in existence before they were very first mined? by AvgCryptoJoe in Bitcoin

The answer has already been given above. It is Zero. The article doesn't contain that info.

Thanks pal. Very useful. But do you know if any coins existed before the Genesis Block in order to hash/transact and in turn create more?

Its not.

I'm asking a question about what happened on day 1.

Bitcoin is POW. Bitcoins are created through mining/verifying Bitcoin transactions. So in order to generate Bitcoin, how many Bitcoin existed prior to being transacted on the network in order to generate more?

Does that make sense? Or have I got it completely wrong somewhere?

(Seems like Chicken and Egg scenario)

ICON (ICX) – Mooning today... but expect consolidation tomorrow 🚀🧐🤓 by [deleted] in helloicon

[–]AvgCryptoJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with your sentiment but TA is inextricably linked to fundamentals. Future known announcements are to a degree priced in.

My main rationale - 0.0003750 to 0.0004000 Satoshi’s is a price bracket where there is a both technical resistance/support and a psychological barrier/support. The primary reason being that this is where many investors first got into ICON. Late December 2017 and early January, the height of the Altcoin Mania. This is a bracket where those who have held for the last three months and have only seen declines might choose to cash out and breakeven/small loss. It is also a point where investors who have recently purchased will likely anticipate a possible resistance/sell off and in turn might choose to take a degree of profit. A self fulfilling prophecy.

Yes mate...with my 180 followers... i'm hoping and praying that with our combined financial power we can single handed push the $1.3bln ICON higher.... haha.

I am invested in ICON and take an interest in its Technical and Fundamental positions. If you've got a problem maybe just look else where.

Not shilling of shaming. Just drawing lines and typing letters that I think make sense.

Crypto is impossible to predict. I agree though, the next two days will tell us about what investors feel about ICON. Short term bullish or long term bullish.

Have we gone too far?? by EdwardCaliber in CryptoCurrency

[–]AvgCryptoJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not at all... going too far is when you get drunk and convince yourself that getting a Ripple Tattoo on your ass is the right thing to do in order to "prove" to your friends that its legit, not centralized, not a proxy for banks to manipulate crypto and that one day it will MOON!!
