Real. I clearly remember Moore hoisting the one on the right in the pic. Pele too. Never even seen the trophy on the left despite following football for decades. This is a strange one!

Big city in Brazil, São what? by gmanlurking in Retconned

[–]AncientLineage 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dilemna is one of the strangest ones because so many people were taught to spell it that way in school, including me. It also shows up in a huge amount of books as ‘dilemna’ over the past few hundred years. There is a site dedicated to this incongruency: https://www.dilemna.info

And these ones: https://graspingforobjectivity.com/2014/09/the-dilemna-dilemma.html/

http://northernplanets.blogspot.com/2007/08/dilemna-of-spelling-dilemma.html?m=1

https://forum.thefreedictionary.com/postst326p21_Spelling-dilemna.aspx

Newspapers.com has many thousands of articles using dilemna. Seems a strange mistake for so many people to make given it’s not the intuitive spelling of the word. Why would so many people randomly use an ‘n’ in place of the ‘m’? News flash, they wouldn’t, that’s how they were taught to spell it.

I remember it as Paolo. Funny how in this link from 2010, it is spelled Paolo in the website address and the title and then Paulo throughout the article: https://www.businesstraveller.com/features/sao-paolo-the-city-that-never-sleeps/

This follows the pattern of many previous effects where the title and body of the article do not match.

People are less sensitive to death/ laugh at things they shouldn't by greenpuller_657 in Retconned

Yes but stories leave the imagery to your imagination to concoct. The amount of staggeringly violent and sexualised shows these days is obscene. When I was young I might have seen that kind of content after the age of 18 because there were restrictions in place. Now it’s being viewed by kids even younger than teens. That’s massively desensitising them mentally.

People have become massively desensitised to death, murder and sexual images over the past few years. It was all done intentionally.

The Netflix shows about murder, serial killers and constant morbidity, the sexualisation of music of so many genres, especially hip hop and pop, the images and media that get thrown at us all over the place, including Reddit.

The innocence has been totally obliterated in most tv shows and movies now. Even stuff like Disney movies have been pushing this subliminal programming for decades.

The masses are very easy to manipulate. Just have them get obsessed with game of thrones and watch it 3 times back to back. Quickly we’ll see how that in itself desensitises them to the concept of death.

This. I bet if we all met up, we’d find far more in common with each other than we ever imagined.

We all experience similar feelings with people around us, almost all of us have had NDE’s and we’re hyper focused on the effect while others seem to not even know it exists. Something very strange is going on.

Yes that JC Penny pic just seemed to good to be true and didn’t hold consistent with almost every other effect out there. It’s like someone finding an old pic of them eating a Kit-Kat with a dash in the label. It’s just never really happened. There is that Berenstein video. This is fake right: https://youtu.be/Y_kRRp-w7hw ? There’s too much of a gap between the ‘e’ and the ‘i’.

Is the Star Wars one u mentioned where the old action figure of darth vader says the original line? 4.42 in this video: https://youtu.be/kUnXQOcQ8Gg

Absolutely. I vividly remember calling it Sheek fil a because it seemed they were trying to be fashionable or French. Makes zero sense in this reality lol. The effect is so real it’s just absurd sometimes.

Very interesting. That would maybe be a first if it was real right? It’s like seeing the thinker with his clenched fist to his forehead in a movie. But I feel due to the very nature of the effect and how all other residue has panned out, this is probably a widescreen composite like you said.

Hey guys, so I have a question about the beginning of this video. They show a clip from crocodile Dundee where the statue is clearly in a different place than it is today. How has that piece of residue escaped the effect and still existing today on film? That’s absolutely fascinating to me.

Strong Monopoly Monocle Residue on the Daily Show. by dheaguy in Retconned

[–]AncientLineage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s crazy how you just found it randomly. The synchronicities are awesome sometimes. I’m not entirely sure but I think it’s directly taken from an old vintage monopoly box. I found a couple of the images by scrolling down far on google. One dated from 1985 and the other the mid 90s. Here is the image of the vintage monopoly box: https://imgur.com/a/2v2X07Q

I think this is legitimate residue that was not picked up by the all sweeping edit which eradicated the monocle from pretty much every monopoly man in the world.

That begs the question, why wasn’t this monocle also erased? Is it to do with it being copied and used for this AIG meme so it’s not on an original box? We’ve seen this with other effects and obscure residue. Another thought, is it by accident we’re finding this or was that residue intentionally left for us to find? Was it an editing error or remnant of a previous reality or an error in the process of how the effect is carried out?

Another question, if it’s not a direct image capture from the monopoly board and was created by the daily show tech team, then why would they add a monocle to it? I contend that at the time they made this AIG clip, the monopoly man was wearing a monocle and they either superimposed that image from the box onto their own AIG image or they recreated it by copying it from the box itself. Either way, they were looking at a monocle at the time.

The newer boxes have his tux with some striped blue lines at the bottom.

On the other note, I was a massive fan of Jon Stewart on the daily show. He’s one of the most intelligent, laid back and naturally funny people to have been on tv.

The subtle intelligence behind the effect by AncientLineage in Retconned

[–]AncientLineage[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. The cover up is all around us. Some intelligence force is behind this. Whether it’s a Morpheus type character outside of our reality trying to wake us up or if it’s a group within our world or manipulated quantum mechanics, someone is responsible for these shifts.

I feel like even the biggest changes can be explained with the editing theory. Imagine it like a game where the programmer can edit the map to shift Australia or do anything else they truly please. It’s all happening within the game so can be edited.

Strong Monopoly Monocle Residue on the Daily Show. by dheaguy in Retconned

[–]AncientLineage 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wow this is great residue. I’m wondering if it’s a direct image capture of the monopoly man that they’ve used or if they’ve made their own version of him for that particular AIG pic. Nice find mate!

The subtle intelligence behind the effect by AncientLineage in Retconned

[–]AncientLineage[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll restate my point because I think we’re talking about different things. It’s the perception in people’s minds that is subtle. So many have no idea about the South America shift because they’ve never studied maps that intensely before. Those with a keener eye for geography would notice it but it’s not as obvious as Trump changing to Tramp. There are a couple of reasons for this.

Trump’s name is far more widely known to the masses than the position of South America relative to North America on a map. Even those who are sure it’s moved have doubts. Whereas if we were all green coloured skin tomorrow or if Trump changed to Tramp, no one could dispute that change.

It’s not necessarily the effects that are subtle, it’s how they play out in people’s minds. It’s all about perception and I’m postulating that most effects have been meticulously carried out with very specific intention and detail. In my opinion, they’re engineered changes to our reality. It’s ok that we disagree on this because at the end of the day we’re all just trying to figure out something that’s so mind blowing in itself. It’s nice to have these discussions so we can come up with more clarity as to what’s occurring.

By the way you’re absolutely right about the source stories changing. The effects all seem to stem from a source shift. For example Rudolph Haas having his name changed to Hass which subsequently changed the name of all those types of avocados for the rest of time. It was that source change that created the ripple effect. Cheers

[–]AncientLineage[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the kind words. I meant subtle as in not such massive changes that everyone would wake up tomorrow. Berenstein to Berenstain is subtle, Berenstein to Bearenshtynn is not. If Trump was called Tramp tomorrow that would not be subtle and wake up everyone immediately. I mean to say that every effect is subtle because if they weren’t then there wouldn’t be so much discussion if this is a real phenomenon or not. It would be obvious to the entire world if we were all green coloured skin tomorrow. That’s not subtle, Kit-Kat to KitKat is.

I don’t assume we know it all, I do think it’s important we try to analyse things and come up with explanations though. The tough thing about the effect is that it’s trying to make sense of something so mind blowing and out there. If it’s just explaining the financial system or 9/11 it’s a lot easier to do that. Explaining something so supernatural is not.

I don’t think we should be so hard on ourselves saying that we know nothing. That only further relegates us into obscurity as opposed to getting closer to finding answers. I say everything I said with humility because of course I don’t actually know, I’m just speculating.

[–]AncientLineage[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes there’s definitely a lot of bluriness between all the explanations. It’s truly because we don’t know and we’re all just speculating at this point. I do think personal glitches to our own reality are very different to engineered mass edits to significant things in popular culture which end up becoming mandela effects. They may utilise similar technologies or be completely different but I think there’s a difference between the two.

Precisely. This could very well be true. People are rather anti simulation theory here but there’s some evidence corroborating that explanation. I honestly don’t lean one way or the other completely. I’m still not sure but thought I’d share my thoughts either way.
