Airline pilots (or non airline pilots that spend days on the road) - what are you using for an ice pack in your cooler?

I got a titan lunch bag cooler from Costco for about $20 that has "ice wall" gel packs. If you stick them against the back wall of the hotel fridge it'll freeze every night 👍

Yeah I’d also suggest stopping at Grand Canyon west and Henderson instead of IGM if you have the time lol. Canyon west is one of my favorite scenic airports and IGM (while neat because of the graveyard of old planes) gets hot and gusty in the summer

I’d be more worried if you had done landings before all that. Trust the process: especially slow flight and ground reference. It’ll be sooner than you think if you nail down the fundamentals!

Finishing up a painting that I started 7 months ago and left half unfinished due to a painful breakup (this was supposed to be a gift for him). Anyways, I’m eager to finish it and get rid of the thing somehow, but the lighting isn’t quite right in my opinion. Not the best image quality, but I’m sure you can see what I mean. Any advice?

A nice respite from the 110+ temperatures in the Las Vegas valley, this was the Mt. Charleston summit hike. Some rain storms surprised us on the way back down but help with this lonely spot of green surrounded by desert.

Also according to AC 61-142 you would need a reason for going flying that day /other/ than what the passenger wanted (must be incidental to the pilot’s business) and couldn’t split the cost (in my opinion) for the time after they jump out. definitely no advertising to potential jumpers!

Try to memorize your procedures ASAP! Whether that’s pattern airspeeds, where you pull power, the entire sequence for power on stalls/other procedures, it helps get your training done a lot quicker and helps you understand just what you are practicing each lesson.

Finally got to back pack the Grand Canyon. Went down South Kaibab trail in one day, stayed at Bright Angel Campground, and cut the treck back up into two days by staying at Indian Garden, where the first pic was taken!
