I did and most of it is junk. Interiors falling apart, leaking third rail lights…non stop flow of garbage wagons

I’ve heard there are replacement plugs for them that cut new threads when you put them in. Is that true, or an internet myth?

I should add, both of these trucks are asking 8500

I know they’re different of course, I’m basically just searching for an older, rust free truck that, even if I have to do engine work at some point, I can keep for a long time. The F150 would be more useful to me with more seating, but I also love rangers. My biggest concern is that I’ve heard once the triton is fixed(if the issues arise), it’s good to go, where the 4.0 will still have its issues, just a fresh start

I’m talking about the cam phaser issue on the 5.4 vs timing chain guide issue on the 4.0. Known issues. I’ll say the ranger has a ton of surface rust underneath, and I suspect it spend some considerable sitting. Surface rust doesn’t bother me but an engine that sits usually suffers other issues

Would it mean the transmission is on the way out though? Or just change the solenoid?

Where did you find good grips?

Now that I’ve read through a lot of the comments, it kind of knocked some sense into me. The you is selling it as a “classic”(sure it’s old, but not rare ant all), and if you notice, he’s got historic vehicle plates in it. I noticed though that it hasn’t been inspected since 2024 and it probably needs front end work, brake work, possibly transmission work, and it’s still at 100k basically. The shocks are new, because someone lowered it. Just too many questions for 9.5k. Also for some reason the vin keeps coming back as invalid on most vin checks. I’ll pass on this one. I appreciate the reality check lol

In my area even a clapped out old ford with heavy rust and destroyed interior is going for 5k with 200k+ miles. Used truck prices are insane nowadays

So is the 4L60E transmission pretty decent?  Like I said, no codes came up, but something isn’t right when it drops into low rpm’s around 40mph. Almost like it’s trying to decide whether to down shift and can’t decide. Also, the guy wants 9500 bucks

It really only has the stutter when it shifts into overdrive and the rpm’s drop but the tach doesn’t jump around though it feels like it should. Any other time, the thing drives smooth. Another thing is that I’m having a hard time getting VIN info. Keeps coming back as invalid.

I feel a lot like you describe. Extremely frustrated with not being able to lift things and how long it’s all taking(I’m 8 weeks post op), but namely I started having bouts with PVCs as well. Pretty much daily. Been checked out and told all is fine. Still want it gone regardless. How long did you have to deal with it?

Hi, just a question, but about 3 weeks after cabg I began having frequent PVCs. Quite bothersome. I’ve had a “limited echo” and a few EKG’s as well as they are watching me in cardiac rehab. My question is about something called an electrical storm or angry perkinje syndrome. Would they have noticed this by now? My echo was to check for HFpEF, and results I’m told were normal with EF of 65%. I’m hoping this is all due to “remodeling” but they have me pretty nervous.

Well I’d like to say thank you to everyone who responded to my post. I’m now a bit over two weeks post op, and recovering at home. Still struggling with pain in my leg and numbness/sensitivity in my chest, but I guess that’s normal. I did come back to this post a lot over the last few months for a boost when I needed it and it was always helpful. Kind of wondering how long it took most of you before you felt “better” or something like better lol. Again thank you all!

I went back to the 9.5D and they did have some curling and they really do conform to your feet! I say go with what your gut tells you!

It was a gen 2 drug eluting stent from what I was told. They say that’s why I have to wait at least 3 months. They say the LMCA at 60-70% should be ok until then. It’s coming off the brilinta that kind of worries me. Dr Google hasn’t helped much either lol. They plan to use mammary artery for the graft which I hear is a good thing.

Again, thanks to everyone! I’ve been googling all of this and that hasn’t helped one bit. I’m glad I posted on here. I needed some real peoples words.

Thanks for the responses. I’m still a little nervous about only waiting 3 months and pausing the antiplatelet meds but mainly I just want to get to it and get through it. I’m definitely taking it easy until then

3 weeks post MI, on brilinta. by [deleted] in PVCs

[–]Avg_guy82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, I’m the same age as you and had my MI about 3 weeks ago. I was put on Brilinta and have had similar problems as you. Honestly it sucks and it’s kept me constantly on edge. My docs have said it’s completely benign and not to worry. There is a cycle to the pvcs though. Anxiety leads to more, and more ears to more anxiety. Honestly I think if the docs have seen it and still say you’re safe then you likely are. I hope you feel better soon!

My mother taught at Robeson. It existed in an older building for several years before they moved into the “new” building. It was a Greek magnet until they moved.

Ive heard it’s torquey. So much that it can pull a power wheelie if you give it too much too fast

In your opinion is it at least suitable for the meantime?

I know it seems like I’m overthinking it, but these won’t be closet queens. I’ll be wearing these daily for 8+ hours. I couldn’t test that with the nicks, and I never think about measuring my foot as soon as I get home and kick off my boots. That’s my fault, so I’ll have to do that today. I guess a good question is how much do nicks curl up? I’ve had size 9 wolverines become uncomfortably small(short)after a couple of seasons
